One of my favourite authors and I didn't even realise he had passed away until searching to check out his latest book :(

Kingdom Come will be read this next week.

Anyone else a fan of the late great J G?

cocaine nights read a few years back and got into atrocity exhibition on the back of ian curtiss, but never finished it.

Not read The Drought, will book it in next.

It was either Cocaine Nights or Super Cannes that got me into his books.

I bought those two books at the same time, and also got "millenium people" shortly afterwards.

It always surprised me that Empire Of the Sun was by Ballard too. But then i only saw the film, not read the book.

What did you think of millennium people? I got it as audio book and wish I had read it instead, took too long for me to finnish it and lost the flow a couple of times.

Crash was a wierd one!

I thought it had a similar feel to Super Cannes.

I enjoyed it but, was probably my least favourite.

What else did he do apart from those you've mentioned on here already?

* Concrete Island (1974)
* High Rise (1975)
* The Unlimited Dream Company (1979)
* Hello America (1981)

* Empire of the Sun (1984)
* The Day of Creation (1987)
* Running Wild (1988)
