It’s that time of year again…

Im sick of it already! im gona delete myspace because all my bulletins are "VOTE FOR ME" "NO 1 DJ" "VOTE NOW" **** off.

hmm... Above & Beyond now added to my "do not vote" list :?

(not like I would have voted for them anyway )

CC old chap(/pess?) - your posts are at least normally blatant, and therefore honest, in their promotional content.

This is just poor and if you'd read other posts on the board, you'd see folks here are fairly nonplussed at the whole 'vote for me' campaign that grows year upon year.

Mr Babbage says............

So do you think that if a DJ runs a canvassing campaign it actively makes people NOT want to vote for them... even if they do like the DJ?

And surely doing something like this is better than just sending mailouts, at least it's different?

Phil, I have been actively removing anyone who bulletins for it on myspace. Its pathetic.

Its probably more harmful for a DJ to get a high position in the charts. People arent fooled by a top 100 chart. Money-seeking promoters in big clubs book top 100 djs, not smaller clubs who have a music policy and a trusting support.

You should see the sycophants on the Fergie forum fall over themselves to declare their support for Fergie and his pals. Im sure this is repeated all over the world. Its nonsense. Next year Im running a campaign to get my friend Dyte into the top 100 chart. I've already set him up a myspace and i intend on getting him 10,000 friends by Christmas. He obviously has no idea im doing this. :D

File this pish beside Guetta.

the whole Top 100 thing is getting boring.

just one big ego contest, and THE BEST DJs dont necessarily win anyway.

TOP 100 most popular DJ is a more apt name for it.
