Hiya girls and guys

Ive been out here for 6 weeks now and had two jobs already one working for Cream. I am now looking for work in san antonio and its pretty impossible over here. The Ship Inn advertises jobs but even that only has about four jobs up at the mo.

So i thought id write a quick not to warn the people who have still yet to come out that you should bring enough money to keep you going because it may be a while until you get a job. The season has not picked up and the west end is still very quite.

:? oh geeez im out there this saturday and will be job hunting from the word go by the looks of it.

allthough its wrked out pretty well,...booked 17nights in a hostel yesterday,...as our holiday in out hotel ends our stay in the hostel begins,....just need to pay it off when we get bk.

so that takes the pressure off alittle.
 
well for 17 nights its costing us arround £300 which isnt that cheap but its the reasurrance that its all confirmed,....plus i can pay it bk when i want when im bk as my friends parents payed for it and there really easy going :D

just another quick note for 300quid you could live in a f***ing kick ass place over here .... apartment wise so my vote would be to book 7 nights in a hotel which would give you loads of time to sort yourself out with an apartment, im paying 280euros (bout 200quid) for four weeks in a nice apartment! hope that helps

im goin out next week early on with another mate. the plan was to book a last minute package deal for a week and then look for jobs day and nite in san an. just hav to get the flight bac if its as hard as it sounds to get work. is the package deal idea the best way to do it? and i can only take bout 250 with me. is this really not enough? am i gonna b livin out of bins?!
 
its easy to find jobs even if you cant find them advertised,when i was out there i blagged 3 jobs in one night after i left coastline then had to leave ibiza for some reason we wont get into,dont worry you will find a job :P
 
hiya

a package last min deal sounds good its what most people do to start off with. my mate bought 300quid out with him and he really struggled. depending on the job u get u mite not get paid for another couple of weeks so bare it all in mind! also if u are planning on getting an apartment u will need the deposit and a months rent upfront (in most cases anyway) for me that was 393quid so a fair bit of money!! hope that helps

thats why we booked an apartment/hostel room from bk here in the uk,....least then its confirmed and we face the bill when we get bk,....cant wait to have the pressure to get a job and apartment,...i thriveeee off pressure :?

how much did u pay for the hostel plus flights etc? im strugglin to find anythin under 200 for a week and anythin under 400 for two which would b how long i would want to get ideally. but no chance i can pay anythin like 400. thats ok nightfly i thought as much! :)
 
was it bar work? and if it was had u done any bar work before? i haven't u c so im jus bit worried if i did actually manage to find work in a bar that i hav no expierience.

wassuuup!! i am also looking at going to work in ibiza. not sure how long i wanna go for (somewhere between 6 months and the rest of my life :D )
i am also from south affrica and not too sure where to start either.
