What if he's thinking exactly the same, not wanting to give off any signals incase he's got it wrong?

I suppose if the friendship is nurtured for long enough it may evolve but I'd throw in a couple of questionable signals if I was you! ;)

There's clearly a connection but I get the feeling that it's much more on my side and that sort of power imbalance is unhealthy.

I've just never been able to gel with the whole 'f*@$ buddy' phenomena - what's that all about?
There's a mass assumption amongst batty boys that everyone has to have disconnected sex cos 'it's what men do'.
Some are capable but I'm just not...the lines of friendship always end up getting blurred and riddled with politics.

Depends what you mean. I wouldn't ever have sex with any good friends but I have a buddy that I met for that reason, we dont socialise or mix in each others circles so don't see the prob with it as we both know it wont go anywhere.

'f*@$ buddy' could therefore be seen as quite degrading in the sense that the term defines 'that' as the foundation of the friendship.

exactly my point.

if that IS the foundation of the 'friendship' then its fine in my book. just to starting jumping on friends because you feel a bit bored will always end up messy imo.

Jakob and I fight a lot in the night., as he snoars and groans and makes wierd noises from his troat, but once he shuts up and lies there peacefully I just wanna kiss hum all over and tell him I love him.
I once told him how I felt, thinking he was asleep and he turned around and looked at me with his sleepy eyes and said he thought the exact same thing....

LOVE IS BLISS!

I've never experienced it with Joey (even though we were 3 in a bed back in Jan :oops:
But I did experience it with ex fiancee-its a gorgeous persinal feeeling thathas a special place in the heart. I have a pic of him akip on our hols :) Ahhhhhhhh.
