So Babs which tube am I best to get? Ladbrooke Grove? Its quite a way to walk from notting hill gate isn't it? :?

Yep Ladbroke is way closer, and it takes ages from Notting Hill on a Saturday cos there's million of tourists.

All this talk of Portobello, I think I might have to go there now tomorrow

Great ta! :D

I'm supposed to be working tomo but going to call in sick!

Go from Ladbroke Grove and then you go through the market with all the clothes, jewellery etc. Then come out the other end onto Portobello Road and walk up through the stalls of clothes, then veggie and food stalls, then the antiques and it will take you up to the little shops just before you get to Notting Hill Gate.

Sarah - if you take Silvia to Portobello in November you could take her for breakfast in the place that has a tiny doorway and goes upstairs to a terrace overlooking the market - I think it's called the Market Cafe (I can find out for you). Great location and the food is really nice too. Don't worry Silv, they've got outside heaters :D
