Is Pacha really that hideous?

Is that the hours Tongy normally puts in? 5-7am slot?

It will vary depending on the line-up I believe. For the Sasha night I would imagine Sasha would do 3-5 and then Tong to close (but that's me guessing).

However, if I recall last September Tong did 3-5AM and then Matthias Tanzmann did 5-7.30. Maybe the MORE underground the act then the later they will be.

However, as we have said above, stick around if Tong is on last - you might be pleasantly surprised!

I think a lot of people go because it's Pete Tong and Pacha myself regardless of the guests. Same as all the other nights at Pacha!

Its an interesting debate. I think I go to Pacha/Tong when the other act matches what I like. So when he has a Guy Gerber / Maya Janes Coles/ Seth etc then I will go. Would I go to a Pure Tong night - probably not.

He just holds the whole night together. Pure Pacha for the 3 years he wasn't there just never worked, as while they had many of the same acts, nobody held it together.

plenty of British youngsters go to Pete Tongs night and haven't heard of Guy Gerber, Maya Jayne Coles etc. Some go because Pete Tong is the guy they listen to on radio 1. The fact that he is getting in some good underground names will just aid the transition into appreciating good house and techno for those youngsters who chose his night at Pacha over SHM or David Guetta

Don't get me wrong. Nothing against Tongy. Being 39 years of age, I was there listening to his radio shows from the first few weeks!

I want to enjoy more than just the clubs in Ibiza. Getting to bed past 7.00am will only allow so much of that as I am no spring chicken anymore and body will take 36 hours to recover, slighty!

I have had my best and worst nights in Ibiza at Pacha !! Kinda explains what type of place it has the potential to be on the given night.

Personally i think that if you are dead keen on one of the acts playing then it's worth getting crammed in but if your getting dragged there against your will and don't like the music then it can be hell.

Nail on the head!

Went to Pacha this year for Defected when Solomon and Aeroplane were playing, and have to say it was easily my best night I have had in Pacha over the last 4 years of going. The new booth and layout makes a massive difference, and it was the perfect amount of clubbers in, not too busy with room to dance.

Where have they moved the DJ booth to?
