Is Bora Bora open or what this year, music policy, Dj's ect?

From what I can gather, the bar itself will be open, but it won't be playing music outside as in previous years. Therefore, you won't be able to sit on the beach and hear the tunes, thus rendering it a bit useless.
DJ Gee has also said he's not going to be involved with it this year.
I was there last year when it suddenly closed (in fact, I was one of the lucky few to be able to say they were there for the last ever 'proper' Bora Bora) and it was all very sudden, but the word is that it was enforced by the apartment block that was being built last year, right next to Bora Bora on the previously disused carpark, which will be complete for this summer.
Who knows what will happen. I personally wouldn't be surprised if people go down there and start up their own thing, but no doubt it'll be stopped pretty quickly.

The powers that be have decided they don't want Bora Bora to happen any more and nothing is going to change that. Sadly.

you know, DC10 managed to get their shit together and organise their licence so if they can, Bora Bora can too...it can't hurt i suppose and even if Gee doesn't come back right away, if they are allowed to play music at a decent level and have people dancing, then somebody else on the decks would be better than nothing.

Don't get me wrong... I love Bora Bora. I've had some of the happiest moments of my life sitting on that beach, drink and cigarette in hand, recovering from nights before and thinking about the parties ahead whilst I bob my head to the music and occasionally pop over to the dance floor....

Ditto, as you said Bora Bora was fab and I spent way too much time down there....................but the island survived without it in the pre-Bora Bora days and will continue to survive post -Bora Bora. It's a beach bar ffs, albeit a brilliant one, but I wouldn't plan a whole holiday round a beach bar.

Hmmm I dunno, we went in June (when BoraBora was open) and in Sept (when it had closed) and I had a much better time in June. Maybe I just prefer that time of year, maybe having Bora Bora there did make a difference 
I'll know for sure when I go this June, as if I still have a brilliant time then, I'll know it's just the time of year I prefer!

i don't understand why people (especially Brits) find it so hard to believe it's been closed down or whatever. if Bora Bora opened on any beach around the UK it would be closed down within minutes, not years.
sure it was great but what next??? 8)
