Is Bob Sinclar good?

I've always had a good time when I've seen him - don't expect anything ground breaking but he does exactly what it says on the tin - quality house music.

What's to debate...? He's great at his trade and has a unique style (recent production outings have been sh!te tho).

I think it's purely a matter of taste.

Don't like him. His sets are not going forward, he cannot build a good set. He just puts tune after tune without thinking much.

i saw him at space last year and he was gash

i saw him at pacha a few weeks ago and he was gash

i'll never waste my time watching him again

just my opinion though

(generally i dont think many people in this thread share the same taste in music as me, cough cough woolford)

True... go get yourself some taste, Phil  ;)

First time I saw him at Pacha I was just happy he was playing because he followed a horrific attempted tribal set by DJ Gregory (whom I've seen play since and liked so he was obviously having a bad night), but wasn't super impressed.

I've since seen Sinclar play in Moscow, London and Ibiza and enjoyed it every time.

Again, he plays solid house music. Some vocal, some deep, and I've even seen him border on progressive... and he usually throws in a couple of his own tunes. Good stuff.

World Hold On is a superb pop record....................i like him. much better than his evil lookalike twin guetta.

His production (excluding Rock this party which is horrible) is far better than his mixing. I have seen him twice dj'ing and listened about 5-10 sets recorded live and just think that he is not a good dj.

I'll admit to loving "Feel For You" back in the day, and also to having a moment to World Hold On at Pacha in June, but as zapa said, he just aint a good dj.

He is a bankable name because of his skills as a producer, not for being a dj.

Saw him at Pacha this summer and had a great time....one of my best nights.

Nothing groundbreaking but quality vocal, dance along house

He did play world hold on 4 times at least though

He's had a lot of crossover tracks so might not be as cool as some other dj's and you wont go away musically enlightened after seeing him but when i saw him he got the party vibe going perfect

I like him.

Like people have said he's not groundbreaking, but sometimes you dont want to be taught a musical lesson, or to listen to someone pushing the boundaries, sometimes you just want a good old 'hands in the air' boogie!!

ps: theres no harm in liking Bob Sincalr AND Nic Fanciulli either 8)

Exactly FHFHFHFH, sometimes you want to be educated to the top of the music class by the likes of Delboy  ;) but sometimes you just want to throw a few shapes to a few big tunes, there's a time and place for everything ;)
