is a moped a good idea?

i dont drive a bike usually so i guess it is a bit dodgy, it was only for kickin about during the day not for clubs or that, anyone know how much a taxi is from san an to ibiza town or if theres a regular bus goes, thanks folks ;)
 
Most places will just take a copy of your credit card without actually taking the deposit. If you just want a standard clio type thing, we paid 34euros per day..(mopeds were 24) in a place on Ramon Muntier (summat like that) in Ibiza town.

The trouble with the mopeds there is the tyres have very little grip and they are generally badly maintained. I ride a bike all year in the UK and really enjoyed the shorts and T-shirt thing but still had a couple of "moments" they drive on the wrong side of the bloody road over there! :oops:
 
The companies make more money when you crash them because if you havent taken out insurance they cain you for damages. Happened to my friend in Greece last year on a quad bike.

i think that is a bit far fetched.

very interesting silvia about the asphalt being heat resistant - very logical when you think about it.

one of the other things to bear in mind, is the amount of salt in the air from the sea, which makes the roads VERY slippery when it is humid at nights.

all in all, one has to be very careful on a bike.
 
got a car this year booked 1.4 clio with aircon...160euros for a week pick up from airport thats like 33pounds each between 3 of us....i think thats a damn good deal!

ive seen some horrific injuries from mopeds over the years! i wouldnt get one personally.
