I'm not that stupid

The CD plays as Laurent Garnier in the sterero..........and also the other CD in the box (the Carl Craig mix) goes onto my itunes fine :?

It's got the wrong info on the CD and is reading it as the other I would imagine... If it's a burned one, it happens all the time..

It might just be that the data for the Garnier and Howells discs are similar (song length, number of tracks, etc) and iTunes is confused.

One option is to take the following steps:
1. import the CD into iTunes as Danny Howells
2. manually change the track information to Garnier
3. copy the files to your iPod

Manually changing the track information is easy. You just right-click on the track in iTunes and select "get info"

Can't assist with your problem, Babs, but that's a cracking cd. Carl Craig talks over the tracks a wee bit too much though.

Tell me about it - Babs is confused :?

does happen sometimes, unless the cd has native cd-text, the comp will read it as another cd if all the info it uses to determine this is the same.

i think.

when chew and matt say it will read it as another cd, they just mean all the track names and stuff. Normally when you rip a cd on itunes it gets all the track names and things from a database on the internet (or sometimes directly from the cd). In this case itunes doesnt know what CD it is so it's made a note of all the track lengths etc and looked it up on its database. It looks like danny howells is the closest match :(

The music will still be garnier but if you copy it to your ipod now it will be listed as danny howells. You'll need to change the names of the tracks in your itunes and then copy it to your ipod so it shows up properly. I dunno how to do that though because i never use itunes :) I guess its just right click on a track name??

Thank you, that makes perfect sense :D

Good to see you last week as well btw ;)

good stuff :)

Yeah it was nice to have a chat last week. We ended up seeing most of king unique before venturing back into the main room with ferdy. I nearly didnt get in that night because one of the bouncers thought i was already wasted!

haha the only reason i managed to get in was that one of them asked me what the lineup was. Thanks to my many txts to rob saying 'i'm on the way' i could even tell him who'd finished playing and who looked like they were unpacking their records.

Was it that old bloke on the door who's been there for years - he is such a (unt

it may have been actually. The main guy with the clipboard was fine and just asking questions but the noblet doorman who had the responsibility of "lookin 'ard" was the one trying to say I was wasted.

I'm sure i've had dealings with him before. When i had a group of people on concessions for one night he said i wasnt on the list. I tried calling the person who put me on there and the 'mini hitler' doorman was just saying "dont even bother mate i dont believe you, you're not fooling me you liar" etc.. Nice and professional
