Has anyone ever been to one!?! Thinking about going at the weeknd for a 3D showing, but wondering if it will be any good or if I am best to go to a normal cinema :lol:

Don't really go to the pics at all, but taking my boyfriend out on a 'date' and want to surprise him with something quite cool - thought it might be a bit of a giggle!!

Any feedback would be great - sorry for the randomness :oops: :lol:
 
I've been a couple of times back home years ago... I think I saw Africa: the Serengeti (a documentary) and maybe something else.

It's a neat experience. You're almost enveloped in the film. I think I remember that you sit in reclined fashion looking halfway upwards towards the screen as opposed to sitting up and looking straight forward.

If you haven't done it, I'd recommend trying it out once. I think it's better for watching large panoramic documentary-type films than theatrical releases.
 
I went to futuroscope in france which is basically a theme park of imax theatres - it's all very cool.

Best for documentaries I agree, although they do show things like computer generated cartoons and stuff that would be good too.

It's an experience 8)
 
sounds great - will deifnitely go for it 8)

have always fancied the dinosaurs and the dolphins ones, but this is the 3D version of Open Season, thought it would be quite cool :p

where is this? ive always fancied goin to an imax too, just thought hey were all in belgium and france and other far off places

In Glasgow, down beside the Science Centre. It's been open a few years, but I've never made it down. Really wanted to go when they were showing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - oooo to be in the chocolate room :lol:
