I’m just about to buy a Ipod Nano.

Have they sort the scratch problem?

Have they sorted the battery problem?

Detachable battery so no worries if it dies.

;)

Had no probs with mine, although I'm not the best one to ask as my favorite bit is it's pink case.

Just trying to do someone a favour ;)

I was just thinking what he said about battery. I dunno if Apple have sorted the problem but i've heard no end of complaints about the (old?) iPods. Maybe the problems have been solved with the Nano?

I don't think there are many alternatives to iPods/iRiver for the features they have out there though. I spent months trying to decide.

I just got a nano and it is in black so you would think the scratches would show up and I have already dropped it twice and it is fine. I love it to death.

I have heard nothing but good things about this player.

I doubt you will have, it's a brilliant piece of engineering.

Took some tinkering with at first, like having to find and install the US firmware in order to remove the euro volume cap (thanks to our French neighbours regulations  )

Got the 30G IPOD Video...LOVE IT!!

Nothing like playing the Videos of live spins while riding in your car or just out and about. Now Im waiting for the converter so I can play my IPOD videos on the screens in my car....sensational!!

Got black and I have not dropped....it......yet.....

I've got the ipod video in white and the scratches are no worse than they were on my old ipod.

iTunes is one of the best mp3 organiser programs out there too, which means the combination of iPod and iTunes imo is unbeatable.

We have the equivalent software for the iRiver, but i don't tend to use it much really.

I find it easier just dragging/dropping.

I have no scratches on my screen despite it spending most of it's time in my gym back rubbing against keys/coins. I think i should buy a screen protector just in case though.

I like itunes alot but I mostly use it for a search engine. I can find songs, listen to them and then locate them on another software and DL them but if push comes to shove I can get the songs from itunes if need be. Had a hard time finding a converter to convert my videos to IPOD format but once I did it was all good....extremely easy.

Am getting a screen thing Drew mate. Mine scratched up real bad when I took it out of the box and wiped my jumper gently across the screen! I havent even took it out yet. Nightmare.
