The big clubs take the proverbial and offer little in return. The bars in Ibiza town are a rip off and fairly s*** anyway. The sunset strip is a tourist spot for chavs & westenders. OK u have the beaches, but are they so much better than beaches elsewhere? DC10 & Underground can hold themselves high, but they 2 are sliding down the commercial slope and don't offer enough to justify a visit to the island.
The authorites see Ibiza as a future Cannes/Monaco type playground for the rich & famous and wish to develop this. Closing a hedonistic venue such as Bora Bora could be seen as a step towards the clean up, but in doing so they will be losing one of their best assets. Many upper quartile clubbers from across the globe (their bread & butter!) will be discouraged from visiting.
The sunset strip is a tourist spot for chavs and westenders? What exactly has Bora Bora become? Are you another one of those been to 'Ibiza twice before and know it all crowd', or do you get your opinions from magazines? Do you only go somewhere if it is regarded 'cool and in' like 1/2 the other people who flock to Playa Den Bossa, a down market German tourist resort? DC10 and Underground? What, because they are supposed to be underground?Interesting to hear your thoughts.
I notice people are more othered about this than the change in law that has impacted the Wips terrace? Now that is underground!!

It just wasn´t the same. We also went Sunday & it was sterling.

And what kind of music? Absolute CRAP! It's not a ban on music, it's a ban on any place that clubbers like and that's not a member of the disco mafia. Sounds like a way to encourage us not to come to the island any more.

It has got some nice architecture but in reality the hotels are pretty sh*te, most of the buildings are sh*te, it's nowhere near as classy as they think it is and if they kill the club culture, which is what attracts the jet-set anyway, it will kill the island.
The only thing they should be doing is firebombing San Antonio and the surrounding countryside; now that should smarten up the place.
And as for that egg….

I think most of clubbers only see that Ibiza, but the island attracs more kinds of tourism.I always consider the island as a destination if I look for somewhere beautiful for beach relaxing holidays.

Er, one of the best clubs in the world... it's free... drinks are cheap... only place u will hear the enitire spectrum of house during a night... attracts people from all over the globe... atmosphere is second to none... unlikely to spot a pair of reebok classics...
I've DJ'd in Coastline, Savannah's Funky Room and Kanya. I don't mind the sunset bars, but to compare them to Bora Bora is a joke!! Mambo attract good DJs, but u can't really dance, there's little atmos & the music isn't very loud. Kasbah is a nice restaurant, but 18EUR for a penne pasta is a joke as is the thought of lining Judge Jokes pockets!![]()
Are you another one of those been to 'Ibiza twice before and know it all crowd', or do you get your opinions from magazines?
No, I've been a regular since Ibiza was opened by Judge Jules in 1999. Just kiddin'. Been going since 1994 and have seen many changes. Are u one of these people who think you can only judge or pass comment if you have been going four times a year for the last ten years?! I get my opinions from first hand experience and from being invloved in house for more than 10 years. You would never catch me in one of the San An clubs because the music policy is shite... house music for the beginners. Dave Piss is s*** personified!
Do you only go somewhere if it is regarded 'cool and in' like 1/2 the other people who flock to Playa Den Bossa, a down market German tourist resort?
I go somewhere because I(!) think it's cool... I have had some amazing experiences in bora bora & dc10 and am not surprised they have bcome generally regarded as cool. Geman tourist resort? On my second visit this year we met a load of peops and our group eventually consisted of French, Spanish, English, Italian, Austrian, American... funnily enough, no Germans... not that i have anything against them...
DC10 and Underground? What, because they are supposed to be underground?Interesting to hear your thoughts.
No because of the music policy, the crowd & the atmosphere!!! 8)
