"If drugs were legal" on BBC2 last night

I was looking forward to this but thought it was poorly made and as Mark said the acting wasn't up to much.

Even if you could get E's for example legally the quality is likely to be poor and unsatisfying so the illegal trade will still go on.

Not sure that's true...who drinks illegally produced moonshine ...legalisation will improve safety and quality...

So faced with a choice of government issue pill which never quite gets you there or the current illegal equivalent you'd...

Why will the government controlled pill be inferior

Government taxed alcohol gets you hammerered nicely enough and cigarettes are very efficient killers...

I thought the programme was very light, but the debate afterwards was excellent. I am pro-decriminilise drugs, and I believe that the billions that could be saved every year by the Government can be put to far better use imo!
