I'm making my way to the island for a mad wknd at the very beginning of sept, booked myself into the es vive hotel which looksfab and am hopong to have a blast for 4 nights and i'm hoping to sample the delighs of hed kandi and el divino whilst there. has anyone stayed at this place and can you tell me that from sept 1 to 5th it'll still be a great place to go???

I've stayed @ Es Vive a couple of times, you'll like it for the fact that it's just full of clubbers, no kids and families which is always a bonus. There is a 24 hour bar altho that has moved indoors now due to sound restrictions. It's a great location as well, walking distance to Ibiza Town and PDB.

On the downside the rooms are pretty basic, way overpriced for what they are and cos it's a hotel there's no fridge/living area/etc in room as you'd get in an apartment which drives me mad for a longer stay but for a long wkend like you're doing it's fine.

You get a basic breakfast included in the price which is pretty nice and you can buy food round the pool during the day/early evening and that's always been nice. The pool area is nice but a lot of it is in the shade so if you're planning on sunbathing there get there early and get a sunbed in the sun.

There'll be plenty of people around the time you're going, loads of people go in September for Closing Parties.

If you do a search for Es Vive on this site you'll find more info about the hotel.

I saw Jason from Es Vive last weekend and he insists that he has spent lots and lots of money on new furniture/fittings for all the rooms.

we shall see.

btw, apart from that, i pretty much agree with all Babs sez

Didn't they say that last year as well   Probably purchase a few more Hed Kandi pictures for the room and that's their definition of a refurb

The main problem is that the rooms are pretty small and a lot of them don't even have balconies and there's not much they can do about that :?

I'm surprised you didn't steal one of those hed kandi paintings from your room last year. I know how much you love hed kandi - imagine how nice it would have looked in your front room at home 8O
