Ibiza will be the new canary island

I just got back from there and looks like, the police and government has started to fight against drugs very hardly. I have never seen any country so much polices and doing searching also for tourist.

I was in Sant Antonia and there were local policies and guardian civils very much and In West End there were a lot of undercovers policies watching people. So, I think they want to make Ibiza for the senior citizen, who do not want to club anymore. I think, Ibiza will not be open minded island anymore, the tourist will dramatically decrease in nearly future.

that's an interesting point of view.

as i understand it the police presence is to prevent illegal activity, violence and crime which many people would see as a good thing. i've seen a lot more police presence and undercover activity when i lived in baghdad - the difference then was that they were there to cart off anybody who dared whisper against a well known dictator and his cronies.

I like the way you just chuck that in:)

Please tell, how did you end up there? Going to hazard a guess at journalism but could be a mile off of course.

i was an accountant in my former life. i lived for two years in old baghdad running the iraq branch of a large fire protection and security company - wormald - during the time of the iraq/iran war.
