Ibiza Weather September 2011

Ive just returned from a 4 dayer last week and the weather was the best that I have seen it in Sept ever. Tue, Wed, Thur the sun didnt even go in !!!!
 
Just got back from a week there - it WAS hot! Hotter than usual for mid-September, and also drier (no thunderstorms or even a hint of rain). So you can bet this week next year will see it lashing it down non-stop!
It appears to have been a hotter than usual summer, jumping into the sea is like a warm bath, and also drier. Now, has this had a detrimental effect on our lizards? Mush fewer than usual, even though one did run across my hand as I lent on a wall (thank you, little chappie!) and those left looked smaller. Or perhaps they were being clever and hiding away in the nooks and crannies?
 
...how cool's the water for swimming though? b there next week n need my fix of sea water... was there for closings of '09 and remember it was a bit chilly, but wasn't as sunny/warm-ish as the forecast now... :?
 
Water's still warm in September especially in shallower bays - it's the air temp that's mildly less stifling than in August.

Last week the sea temp was 27c. Might be a touch cooler next week, but will be far from chilly! Obvs the extended sunny weather will keep the temps up, but the sea takes longer to cool than the land, so will stay reasonably warm until well into October. Enjoy!
