Tar for the help, am also going on the 1st of September... Its gotta be better than going to Mallorca for the past 3 years.

Depends how long your going for. I usually take 800 euro for a week but could easily drop to 500 if I was short of cash. That would mean more chill out days and less parties but who cares - as long as I got there!

I'll be staying at La Marina in the Port of Ibiza...
anyone thoughts on that area?
as well as real distance from beaches/clubs & the vibe in that part of the island?

There's a boat from more or less right outside Hostal La Marina that takes you right to Talamanca Beach - it takes about 10 minutes and runs every 15 minutes. I think it costs about 2 Euros if I remember. Or you could walk, but that could take 30 mins or so during the day in the heat.
As for clubs, the same boat takes you to El Divino (runs during the night) or you can walk to Pacha in about 25 mins.
Going the other way, you can walk to Figueretas beach in about 25 mins or get a boat to Playa D'en Bossa. Or a bus to a load of different beaches from Ibiza Town.
Seriously, La Marina Hostel is a great place to stay if you want to be in the middle of the action and within easy reach of pretty much anywhere.

I don't think I regret taking the rooms there at all.. the reviews were great, honestly only complaint I read about was the noise!? but its Ibiza... who's planning on sleeping anyway!?

helloo, i'm planning on hitting ibiza in the first week of september & was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of the best club night to go to each night? obviously tiesto on monday & cream on thurs, but the other days im not sure which nights will be the best for some hardcore dance tunes!? oh also is it a hassle to get places if staying in san antonio??

I wouldn't worry about the noise that much - we had a top floor room overlooking the port - aside form the ferries (which can be a bit noisy) I really don't remember having any problems being kept awake because of noise.
As for their claims on distances, maybe you can walk it in those times (although you'd have to be walking pretty fast). But once you're over there, you won't find it a problem to get anywhere from Ibiza Town. There's a cab rank just round the corner if you think anywhere will take too long to walk to/get a boat to/get a bus to.
