Ibiza virgin- how does this week sound?

Big Chief agree with what u say 8) so the next bit is my personal opinion / input....


1. Doing pacha twice isnt a wise move, stick to just Monday.

2. Sunday - Head to Bora for late afternoon, drink up on the beach then head to Space for We Love (guarantee you will love this).

3. Zoo Preject on the Saturday - Zoo Channel on Wednesday - an option ?!

4. Doin the sunset on the last night with a meal is always a nice end to your holiday.

BigChief, she's asked for our opinions and that's what she's getting.

Don't think anyone is saying dont go to Pacha at all, I think the main view is if she's going to SHM then Guetta might be very much of the same thing and is also the most expensive.

I agree with what most people have said

Laura I'm there pretty much same days as you.

My initial plans are Space on sunday, dc-10 on mon, Carl Cox on tuesday, nothing on weds, then Sasha @ Ushuaia and then Cream on the thursday, and MTV thing on the friday (for Layo & Bushwacka 8))

I definitely think you should try to get to Space once, Moby and Yousef are playing with Carl Cox and they're quite housey and probably not as tough as you'd think.

1. Not everyone like the same music, to some Guetta is great and to some he is a twat. Why try telling someone who is initially interested in this ans SHM to go to We Love or Kehakuma as chances are they wont like the music. Go to SHM, you'll have a great time in Pacha but expect it to be very busy! Guetta is similar in terms of being over crowded but you'll still love it.

2. Why do folk feel the need to tell everyone to do something different to what they have planned. Everyone goes to Ibiza for different reason, doesnt mean they enjoy it any less whether it be getting drunk in the westend for a week or doing every club night possible! As long as they enjoy themselves then thats all that matters.

My advice, go on you're holiday and see what happens. Stuff rarely goes exactly to plan on holiday anyway as you meet new people and mix in doing different things. But as long as you enjoy it who cares if you miss stuff? Thats half the fun as you can then experience something new the next year when you go back (and you will go back the next year)

The techno-heads on here are complete snobs.
 
I've just re-read this thread. Seems on the whole that people have taken on board musical preferences stated from the outset and commented accordingly. Actually looks like most people have even made the effort to check the line-ups before commenting.

How is drawing attention to a personal techno preference (my fave is progressive in big clubs btw) snobby ? There are other forums I look at where no-one ever seems to talk about anything but SHM and David Guetta. Seems no interest in experimenting with anything new by people on those either (underground music is what Ibiza does best and when in Rome ... some people would never come across that stuff in their home towns so how would they know if they like it or not ?!!).

Are there deeper "issues" about posts on other threads being aired here ?
 
Yes but when someone says they have chose SHM and Guetta then why direct them to the likes of DC10 as they probably wont like the music. My take on her question is that she is wanting to make sure she isnt missing anything in her week, not that are the nights she has chosen to folks taste on here. People begin diverting her away from these nights to ones she might not like.

Suggestions should be like make sure and see a sunset, bora bora, try go into ibiza town some of which is covered in her plan anyway.

Was covered in a thread recently "why go to ibiza?" or something along those lines, everyone goes for different reasons so if SHM and Guetta are your thing then go. I've seen both before and both were surprisingly good, got the crowd going nuts, and that's the whole point of a good DJ(s).

There is so much goes on in Ibiza you'll NEVER cover everything you want in a week, so just go over and enjoy yourself and when you go back you'll know your way a bit and can cover what you missed.

I've taken all the comments on board (even the ones saying I should scrap SHM and go to a techno night! lol). I am willing to experiment a bit music wise and hopefully find another genre I like, but I think going to a club which plays pretty much just techno is not gonna be a good night for me. I wouldn't mind a club which plays more of a mix and has different rooms and things, then if I didn't like it I could just go to an electro house room :lol:

I have decided to scrap guetta, you guys are right, it's not gonna be good to go to Pacha twice, I'd rather try something new. SHM is a must for me though, I know a lot of people don't like them but they play the exact type of music I love, and Example being there is the icing on the cake.

Definitely looking into going to Space as well, We Love on Sundays looks like it could be quite good, I read that they have a something for every kind of musical taste, so I could go try a lot of different rooms and see what I like.

I'm leaving in a couple of hours! Can't wait! Have a DJ set over in the UK later tonight and getting a taxi straight to the airport!
