"Ibiza Uncovered" Reruns on Sky One

If anyone is interested, Sky One are reairing the original 'Ibiza Uncovered' starting Wed 31st August at 4:20 AM. Looks like its airing nightly in various late night/early morning slots .. best set the Sky+ or TiVo if your interested!

I remember watching this show back in 98, when it was first aired and loved it. I remember wanting to jack in Uni and just go off and spend the whole summer there (never did tho ). I know the show gets a lot of flack for kicking off the whole press/public perception of Ibiza as a destination for drugged/pissed up, over sexed Brits, but the reality was the first series was actually quite balanced. It wasn't all drinking and sex. Yes it has the clubbers and some Brits trying to work their way through the summer, but I also remember they followed an older female rep and they also showed the other side of the island, the one that caters towards families and also just what a beautiful island it was (still is). It wasn't until Ibiza Uncovered 2 that thinks went downhill. Thats when the producers decided to just focus on the sex, clubbing and drinking and of course, the papers/press lapped it up.

Anyway, I haven't seen it for years, so I'm looking forward to seeing it again!

I always remember it as only really showing the West End, Danny from Clockwork Orange trying to get people into Es Paradis and loads of embarrassing Brits on the piss and getting their tits/knobs out (delete as appropriate).

Was Jonathan Ulysses followed around for a bit as well, before he became a proper Space ressie, or am I thinking of another programme

It's so long ago I can hardly remember it, but I remember it being dire. I remember the fire @ Manumission but not much else.

Appologies people, just looking at the program synopsis and its Ibiza Uncovered 2, not the first series. My TiVo guide just list it as Ibiza Uncovered, so naturally I assumed it was the first series. Damm!

Yup, they followed him down the west end for a bit as well.

The first series DEFINITELY showed other things than "brits on the p*ss". Im not saying that the show was entirely accurate about things on the island but anyone who says it was ALL west end, p*ss ups , sex etc - is wrong.

Have you heard Jonathan Ulysses in the DVD on the new Space compilation..?? He spends the first 5 mins of an interview comparing Space to lunch and goes on about food for ages.. We concluded he mustve been in a slight state
