I've stayed in Playa den Bossa and San Antonio when I have been to ibiza so have only been to bars in Ibiza town before nights at Pacha, this year I'm going to El Divino and Pacha and want to know where all the good pre club bars are as I certainly didn't come across any when I was last there. I love ibiza town, the shops, harbour and the architecture is beautiful but there just didn't seem to be anywhere central to go for a good drink in the evening, I just drank in a couple of bars that had either no music at all or just some crappy cd on and really high stools that are uncomfortable to sit on, these bars are around the harbour and all the shopping stalls selling cds and jewellry, there must be far more to Ibiza town that I just haven't discovered yet, can someone please point me in the right direction, particularly on Saturdays and Wednesdays as these are the days I will be going into Ibiza town, thank you!!

Hello helen.

I love Ibiza town. I'ts my fave place to drink in the world. Rest assured you will find whatever you want.

Have a look at the guide to bars from the spolight frontpage. South of the walls to the old town is Sa Penya. From here down to the front is my fave place. Bars such as Rock, Base, Bar Zuka tick your boxes.

It sounds like you've been to base and rock tbh. They are IMO crap. well over-hyped and over priced. Go to the road behind them calle de virgin and the like, much better atmosphere and cheaper drinks.

Whoosh! ***** my balloon why dont you!

i didnt think they were that expensive? although was fairly trollied. and i got a free hug from brandon block!! ok rock & base are a bit cliched. i was just suggesting the headline ones. that said, it is my mission to find noctambula

anyway - get yourself to that area and explore yourself.;)

Yer I will try out anywhere really, obviously I prefer cheaper drinks but its mainly the music and atmosphere I'm looking for, I'll have a good look in the area south of the walls then and see what its like (not too much walking though as I will be in 4" heels!), is it best to ask a taxi to drop me around there or is it easy enuf to find walking from the harbour? By the way, everyone on here keeps using "IMO" whats that short for then???? :?

Hey Guys,

Heading to Ibiza for the first time in late August and am staying in Playa Den Bossa and have heard about how much the drinks in the big Clubs are, but was wondering how much they are in the bars before we head to to clubs?? Also where is the best place to buy stuff to take back to the Hotel, and how much?

Thanks

Hi Rex

Depends what bars you are going too. Somewhere like Bora Bora will cost you maybe 4 or 5 euros for a beer, somewhere like Murphys (near Bora Bora) will be 2 or 3 euros a beer. Supermarket prices are cheap for alcohol - maybe less than a Euro for a beer in most places. There are quite a few supermarkets round PDB, some are a bit cheaper than others but I can't remember which are the cheapest.
