sounds like it would be a fantastic time, but understand the predicament. Going to play devils advocate and say, take a break from it this year
Why not try somewhere else? From my point of view that was a bit of the issue for me - do i just say f**k it and book, spend all my money and really have a great, but similar holiday to previous years or do i bide my time and put money aside for a 'better' holiday - in terms of new country/experiences. (MarkB - think Goa is on the cards for November
)
I'm sure the trip with your mates would be great, and sometimes even better when you go not expecting too much - but I know that with the best will in the world I wouldn't necessarily go out and explore on my own, not go clubbing etc if the rest of the group weren't, chances are I would get caught up and end up in a mess for a week
You may have better willpower than me though
At the end of the day you have fantastic clubs on your doorstep and you can have a mad one with your mates whenever, why not try something different, let a bit of the excitement/anticipation build up and go back next year
