i was thinking about russling up a little posse and having a week or three out in ibiza this summer
am a bit out of the loop ya know so was wondering if you helpful kool party kidz would give me some idea of :
--the best time to go? (was thinking mid june to early july)
-- when does manumission start? what night is it on?
-- is space on sunday any good nowdays?
-- where the cool place to hang out during day? bora bora still?
-- whats is this this years "big new night?"
I wouldn't say I'm a koop party kidz but imo for what it's worth:
Mid-June is good (lots of opening parties, guaranteed good weather, clubs busy but not rammed), either then or September (for complete carnage) are best times to go for me.
Manumission was on Fridays last year, there's a thread in Confirmed Parties and Clubs (I think) which gives this year's opening day, think it was around 15th June but don't quote me on that.
I went to WLS 4x last year (3x were unbelievable, once was pretty average - it all depends on the guests and the first week the guests were pretty rubbish). The sunset terrace still can't be beat from Sunday afternoon til midnight, then it's the new terrace is where the big names are - last year saw the likes of Danny T, Sneak, Jeff Mills, Lottie all on there and all awesome. I'm personally not keen on the new Space ressies (Woolford and Fancuilli) - the phrase 'kill the terrace' springs to mind, but you can easily avoid them if they're not your bag.
I guess Bora Bora is still the main daytime hang-out - music can be a bit hit or miss but it's always good for a few post-clubbing daytime antics watching the world go by.
Not got a clue re 'big new night', a lot of line-ups are still tbc, I guess in the next month or so things will get firmed up.
