Cheered me up no end reading this, one to which I can actually relate unlike so many and entertaining too Relationship with the Ka is hilarious. I got given my first ever automatic in Ibiza once when Atesa had nothing else left when I arrived - having only paid for a Group B or something. It was a massive SUV and there was no manual parking brake. Hadn't slept in 24 hours when I picked it up early morning but undeterred I took it to Cala d'Hort and tried to shoehorn it in to a tiny space left on that very steep hill. Got "the fear" and spent about half an hour trying to park cursing as I was terrified to take my foot off the brake convinced the car was going to just roll backwards if I released it. Oh the joys

Nice one kimajy. Genuinely forgot i’d written this. Aspects of that holiday feature in the book.

I’m sure there will be similar farce this Sept!
