Ibiza Rocks @ IBIZA ROCKS HOTEL 2012

New talent added to the Rocks line up

The Rocks summer season is in full flow but we have added some more new music gems to the biggest bill in the Balearics. Starting with London based singer/songwriter Alex Clare.

Counting Adele amongst his biggest fans, Clare received his big break when track Too Close was used by Microsoft in a worldwide ad campaign, rocketing him from obscurity to the top of the charts. Clare's album The Lateness of the Hour saw him work with world famous dub step producers Diplo & Switch to create standout tracks with heavy basslines and all the anthemic qualities perfect for the ultimate set under the stars at Mallorca and Ibiza Rocks this summer when he plays alongside the amazing Paolo Nutini.

We're also excited to announce one of our new favourite bands Alt-J are also confirmed to join this year's lineup, supporting Bloc Party in September. Alt-J comes to Rocks basking in the glory of a hugely successful UK and Irish tour and critically acclaimed debut album An Awesome Wave. Describing themselves as‘folk-step' their upbeat tracks are certain to provide a hit with Rocks crowd.

Finally, supporting Plan B in the Balearics is Mancunian singer songwriter Pepper. Havingforged a song writing partnership with one of the most respected and formidable figures in British dance music, Nicholas ‘Cage' Denton (Dizzee Rascal's manager and mentor), the pair have penned stunning standout tracks. Pepper has embarked on the European festival circuit this summer as an integral part of the Dizzee Rascal roadshow and will showcase her work in her own right at Rocks.

The biggest festival headliners and hottest breakthrough talent... It can only be Ibiza Rocks!

Happy Mondays complete this years Ibiza Rocks

Our summer line ups are always packed with the biggest international artists and the most exciting breakthrough talent but we have always made it a tradition to celebrate some of live music's true pioneers. With that in mind this summer we are excited to welcome the godfathers of Madchester, Happy Mondays to the Rocks stage for the first time.

Discovered through the legendary Haçienda Club in Manchester the Mondays became the flag bearers of the baggy movement and were almost single handedly responsible for putting late 80's Manchester at the centre of the musical universe.

This year has seen the band reform their original line up of Shaun and Paul Ryder, Gary Whelan, Mark Day, Paul Davis, Rowetta and that man Bez for the first time in 19 years.

No strangers to the White Isle it is exactly 22 years to the day they played live at the infamous Ku Club. Speaking about their return Shaun said "We're all excited to be playing in Ibiza after all these years. It'll be great to perform in the sun with Ibiza Rocks"

From Step On to Kinky Afro, Hallelujah to Loose fit expect a show like no other from the original 24 hour party people
