New Order at Ibiza Rocks 12/09/2012

Hi all,

We will be visiting for a few nights in September to take in New Order at Ibiza Rocks and have a couple of questions for those of you in the know.

Firstly, what are the chances of this gig selling out? Does Ibiza Rocks normally sell out? If it's likely - next question:

If I buy my ticket on Spotlight do I get a ticket, an e-ticket or an email which I have to print out and take to the gig. I'm a little bit Old Skool and would much rather have a proper ticket with "NEW ORDER - IBIZA" on it which I can put in the collection than some dog eared print out. I imagine I'll only be able to buy an actual ticket on the island. But I don't want to land on the Monday and all the tickets have already gone.

Thanks in advance, see you there.

The day of the traditional ticket is nearing its end. The future will be iphone and electronic means. Those old tickets you have will become collectors items.

Best to buy in advance for New Order. I would guess it will be rammed.

I know that the gigs here finish 'before midnight' as posted above but can anyone give me an indication of the start times?

New Order tickets are bought and paid for  so we'll be looking to work out what's what for the Wednesday night. I'm thinking sunset at Kanya, pop round to see my old mate Victor behind the bar at Hotel Brisa and then head over to Ibiza Rocks.

I'm guessing sunset will be done by 8pm on September 12th so should be in the Brisa by 8:30pm. New Order, I imagine, will be on between 9pm and 10pm but I'm happy to be told otherwise.

I wouldn't want to walk in having missed Fine Time.

Can't wait.

Is this worth going to? Or will Hooky turn up as a guest DJ?

Given the size of Es Paradis I can't imagine it filling up (maybe a few hundred(?) with their free wristbands from the gig - can't see many people paying €25 to get in), but if it's wall to wall hacienda classics then I don't mind going into the middle of the pool and dancing on my own all night.

I'm tempted by Sankeys but it'd be rude not to stick our head into Es if we've got the wristbands anyway.

mate, do you know hook has fallen out wih bernard sumner?, he's not touring with new order any more, he's doing his joy division tribute thing with some band he's formed. (peter hook and the light i think the name is)

'new order' is sumner, morriss & gilbert now, with some session guys.

seemingly big split, fighting over the factory/haciendas name/new orrer name.

CAnnot wait for this!!!! JUst took a look at the website and saw the Whip are also playing as the support act. Awesome. I've been going to Ibiza for a long time but have never made it to Ibiza Rocks before. Can anyone recommend what time to best get in there? I might just go as soon as the doors open to get down the front!

It is going to be a massive Wednesday with the Viva closing party after this. 5 more days at work and counting...:D

one of these is now on one of my walls.....
