Ibiza NYE

why should locals get free or cheaper drinks and tourists cant?If they tried that here there would be uproar, and why wont locals be going to Pacha anyway, isn't that one of the very few clubs that stays open all year?

why have you got a problem with everything...............that is one massive chip you've got on your shoulder johnny 5 is alive.

1) locals get it free or cheap cos there friends work behind the bar or own the place or promote the night, whatever it may be..................would you turn down a free drink from your mate behind the bar on the basis that the tourist next to you wasn't getting it free?? it does happen here, in every town, city, bar, club in the land!!! get real man.

2) the reason why locals won't be going to pacha is because surprise surprise, many locals don't actually have an interest in pacha or clubbing!! :o:?

I've no chip on my shoulder whatsoever, and of course nobody is going to turn down free drinks, that is besides the point,i know someone who owns a bar here and i have to pay like everyone else has to no matter where they are from,my whole point is why charge outrageous prices in the winter time.

And how do you know that many locals wouldn't have any interest in going to Pacha?

On the contrary id day they would seen as it's one of the only big clubs to stay open all year around.

ok, this someone you know makes you pay, i'm sure there are hundreds of people on here who've been given many a free drink by a friend/bar owner and/or dished out many a free drink when they've worked in a bar/club. you are deluding yourself to think it is not very common practice.

why charge outrageous prices? because they can and people will pay, blame the people for beign willing to pay that much for drinks.

how do i know many locals wouldn't have any interest in going to pacha??!!? 8O haha, just because you are from or live in ibiza, doesn't mean you naturally have an interest in pacha!! oh dear jonathan...:lol:

Whatever grego i really am not particulary worried about it,chances are ill not be there on NYE anyway i was just considering it until i heard that drinks prices are the same so discussion over as far as im concerned so you toodle back to whatever it is you were doing.

are you gutted that your mate makes you pay when the rest of the world gets a freebie?? ;):p

anyway, whats the matter, normally when i try and give a clear/logical/common knowledge response, you get all tigerish and start coming out with ridiculous statements that you know aren't true but you're too stubborn to admit. c'mon baby, let's dance! 8O:lol::lol:;)

Just because i know someone here who owns a bar doesn't mean they are a necessarily a mate of mine who will dish out free drinks all the time (although i have gotten a few drinks on occasions) as i said el grego disucssion over as far as im concerned, ill be elsewhere on NYE.

though i've never been on nye i have been to pacha in december. (i'd had an absolute skinful) no idea if you have to pay - i just strolled in like i owned the place (that's what it seemed like though you know what it's like when you're bladdered, you think your oscar wilde when you're a jibbering wreck of humanity).

only the little room was open and people were playing pool in there as others danced round them. the dj played madonna etc while i was there, the bass sound was terrible, and all the people from cam bank were in after their xmas meal.

no idea how much a pint cost.

listen mate, they don't serve Guinness in Pacha anyway

why i can get free accommodation in Dubai and in my mates bar i can get free beer (i dj a few nites over there in return for free beer and accommodation for the duration of my stay)i would consider Ibiza but not if the drinks in say Pacha are going to be €12 (fcuking outrageous price) around NYE like they are during the summer season,id be surprised if they are actually i couldn't see the locals being happy with those prices in the winter season.

Go to Dubai then!
