If it’s Hï (nothing official) I think each DJ has to make the decision based on where they are in their career. Personally, never understood why Capriati did it (even if the money was crazy), as he had the chance to be the king of Amnesia - and thankfully he *might* still become that. But I can see why a DJ that’s targeting a younger demographic and is growing fast might decide on Hï.

‘How the mighty hath fallen’ - I’ve not been a fan of Ushǔaia and their general programming, opening or closing lineups for some time but this lineup is so bad it’s genuinely appalling 😩

I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for Ushüiaia - the venue itself for the right event I enjoy - the programming was a little more towards my tastes of a few years gone by (La Familia) and their opening and closing lineups were far more ‘underground’ and actually felt like some thought had been put into them - but I’m genuinely blown away by how bad this is!

Kind of agree that regardless of what you thought of Ushuaia, the Opening and Closing Parties have been outstanding previously. I have had some amazing nights there, and was better in the mid-2010s when the closing just went on until 2/3am outside - but those days are long gone.

However, they have UNVRS and that is where the big talent will go for the Opening - FACT!

And while in the past Opening and Closing have been on the tech-house side, maybe the line-up this year does diversify it a bit. I think it is fair to say that not many people will do Ushuaia and UNVRS based on those line-ups.

Ist das nur ein weiteres Problem für uns alte Nostalgiker, oder ist der Zauber von Anfang und Ende seit Jahren verloren gegangen, außer vielleicht ( !) bei Amnesie? Mann, damals hatten wir es so einfach … Weltraum-Anfang … Amnesie-Ende … fertig, und nicht Teil 1, 2, 3, 4 …

Has anyone checked on Paul Kalkbrenner, is he alright? Not playing an opening party for a TNL club for the first time in years :p

Capriati playing both Amnesia and Hi openings, very weird, where is he gonna end up?
