Ibiza Gossip 2026

Opening Pacha. Anyone want to share feedback?
We went on Saturday. I thought it was mixed but fun. We got there just before 1 and it was rammed. Realised I hadn't been there since it got a make over about 8 years ago...

I knew it would be busy but it was pretty mental. Not much chance of getting onto dancefloor, though we almost got there by about 4. Problem is that the spaces around it feel like corridors, so really disconnected from the main space. Crowd was the usual mix of f***ing everybody and anybody. I feel like this used to (like in the 90s) really work but now I'm not sure it does so much. They don't have a choice, they can't do a Berghain, so not sure that's gonna change.

Solomun wasn't on till 3.30 so it stayed busy. Blondish was pretty middling. Lots of 'business house' that a half capable algo could have selected. Nothing in the way of personality or verve. I mean, it was OK but was expecting something with a bit more of a personality. Mind you, no one turns up to the Pacha opening at 3 expecting subtlety. Solomon obvs told the sound tech no one played louder than him, so the vol spiked when he came on. He was better, some pretty good tracks but again, I felt like I wanted someone taking a lot more chances, esp. given his history. Though, again, I guess I may have been the only one there looking for something more subtle than a sledgehammer.

I pre-paid drinks so it was actually fine. Maybe even cheaper than my local. That was a def plus.

A def minus was me pre-paying for 3 cocktails but not realising the cocktail bar was in the hotel opposite and we couldn't pass out and in.

That soundsystem is impressive. really powerful but feels pretty relaxed and easy on the ears.

We had a fun night in the end, chatted to some fun folks, danced a bit, drank a bit and did some people watching. It was fine, I'm glad we went, but not much more.

Last time i was somewhere that busy was the DC10 closing a few years back and it was worse. Horrible security and a lot more aggro.

Was at the Morales closing at Pikes last year and it was busy but you could dance, that was like a perfect fill level.

Maybe choosing nights with more niche DJs might be a better plan but if that's opening then i'm not sure there's any saving it by Aug.

YMMV.
