A quick report from last Monday at Circoloco Anniversary: I've never seen people so confused at DC10 before. &me and Rampa played a really weird set, ( and very bad) achieving something unimaginable until now, No cell phones with Keinemusik

I don't know how to describe it. They tried to do a darker set, a kind of minimal tech house? No Afro house or their usual melodic tracks. Overall, it was a strange night. For the first time, I also noticed that the main room was more crowded than the terrace during the closing set. People preferred to go see Chloe Caillet.

Kind of respect them for going darker to be honest, that might clear out some of their following spectators.

Chloe is hot at the moment, so this doesn't surprise me.

He is not just afro house he plays other housey typey too dont know what to call it but its not like keinmusik or francis mercer type music all night

From the videos I saw did they have big screens and visuals in the terrace? Really hope it doesn't encourage more phone use... Amnesia was always better for me as it was more about the music.

yeah for now it seems tues (eastenderz) & weds (resistance) are the two amnesia nights that seem to be working best out of all of them. I'm sure @W_I_C will add something himself, but I heard resistance opening was really good.

Be interesting how the season ends up, but definitely seems some of the DJs / nights that I thought would struggle have done quite well.

I thought Eastenderz/East End Dubs would get lost in everything else - but as you said - they doing well.

At the start of the season never thought Mau P probably stood a chance at holding his own at Pacha, but that starts on 6 Aug, and he's pretty hot property at the moment. Blond:Ish seems to have done good at Pacha too?

Anyone know how the newer Hi nights like Hugel and Dom Dolla are doing?

mau p will be interesting - he's hot property yes, but he will still go up against JJ, resistance et al...

I think for dom dolla and hugel the main room (theatre) works ok, less so the club room. at least that's what I heard.

I'll write another update about the state of the season in a week or so when we go into august, but for now two things seem clear:

• we're not in for a record season, far away from that
• there's an oversupply of parties

the combination of those two factors means a lot of dancefloors are nicely busy rather than packed

doing OK from what I hear, more space on dancefloor than in past years, in tune what I said above.
I'm pretty sure the closing of glitterbox will be very busy though mate, for now it seems unvrs will be shut that night and it's closing party crowd around.
