ibiza gossip 2025

Not what I expected...nod to the past and a some fwd thinking acts too. Won't see make a dance on too many Ibiza line ups this summer... Fair play...only 2 female dj's though, bit of a sausage fest...

From what I hear some nights people just were NOT buying anything at the bar. That trend started last year when the likes of MusicOn were charging €170+ to get through the door - not many will pay those prices - and then sink €100 on drinks. I might be wrong, but would be amazed if we see those kind of prices in August this season.

And the day after I wrote this, MusicOn is already at 140/150€ for this Friday!

first of july, here's a quick personal view on how busy it is right now. please mind that this is literally talking about NOW, which genuinely means it can change drastically within very few days.

  • roads are busy, lots of traffic - and also quite a lot of accidents on the roads in the past few weeks (luckily mostly just material damage)
  • a lot of the club nights are busy, but a lot of them with the generous help of workers and residents. it's the time of the year where you can still get in with your workers passes, and this year much more so than in past years. right now, with the exception of a very few of the top selling nights (guetta at UNVRS, music on at pacha to name just two), residents/workers are still very much welcome in the clubs to help filling those dancefloors. there are still a few strong nights to open throughout july (anyma at unvrs opens next week, resistance at amnesia doesn't open until 23rd july) and it will be very interesting to watch as to whether everyone will be able to attract enough traction with peak season arriving.
  • the island as such, at least to me, doesn't seem full. it's nicely busy everywhere, but in a lot of restaurants you can still get tables without a booking and from what I hear you can still very easily get accommodation anywhere. if it wasn't for the heat (read on for that), I'd say right now it's a very comfy time in terms of how busy it is.
  • the heat - as you've probably read, it's been the hottest june EVER recorded, not just here on the balearics, but in all of spain and in a lot of european countries. we are currently at a stable 35-36ºC during the day, but with the humidity the apparent/felt temperature is more like 40ºC. it's bearable, as long as you're close to the water, go swimming lots, spend time in the shade and drink lots and lots of water (day alc drinking currently definitely not recommended guys). the water temperature is also at an absolute record high and while lots of people might be pleased about that, it sadly really means no good news for the health of the mediterranean sea.

well then, let's head into the two main peak season months now and just try to keep cool somehow!

ps - if anyone wonders - yes, you can still do outdoor activities with those temps, but you need to be out either early morning or then right before sunset and obviously make sure you have a swim stop somewhere underway.

Hey guys!!

Does anyone have any information on whether Pacha will also be offering balcony tickets at Music On in August, like they did in July?!?

Pacha didn't respond to my email. 🤨
