Sad to hear on Glitterbox always liked the more chilled vibe for that one but someone's got to the lose out somewhere

Suppose still Mid June, but with Solomun, Pyramid and soon to start Coxy and Bedouin and Sunday is tough as it gets.

€55 for Glitterbox, with no reduced drinks starts to look a bit on the expensive side Vs some of the nights at Pacha for example.

Boiler room definitely want as busy as I was expecting, neither was flower power. I did wonder if this was as a result of unvrs

Glitterbox June 1st was busy! Went to Luciano at Chinois first and wanted to see Innercity Live at Glitterbox. The crowd was a bit boring. Chinois was much better. Sound at the Club Room was too loud to really enjoy the set to be honest. Have been to better Glitterbox nights.

It was pretty busy the previous Sunday. Exactly what I'd expect for early June.

Nice crowd too. Perhaps due to being Pride week but lots of gay couples there.

Also FAR fewer people with their cameras out. Music more diverse and interesting too - especially in the Club Room.

I have so much love for Glitterbox, I hope it’s not getting lost in all the other TNL parties. I hope come full season they will be fine. To slightly contradict what I said above, while Sunday has so much on, Glitterbox is it's own sound, and appeals to a lot of people who don't want banging Solomun or Coxy.

It's also the best night at Hi from a crowd perspective.
 
I saw some people filming with professional equipment at the solomun opening at begin of june. And some at the Boy George Clip at the same time.
Anyone a idea , where I can find this ?

might have been pacha's own media department - or some other accredited media, hard to tell

Selfishly, I would love to see Glitterbox go to Pacha
 
Kind of related to other news of late but a more drastic impact, the beach bars at Cala Llonga have not had their licences renewed and remain closed. Not sure if they are up for appeal or what, but heading towards peak summer shuttered as things stand.

the small chiringuito at cala olivera has vanished as well. not sure though if they simply haven't requested the licence for this summer at all or what happened.
 
I read on a FB group (so gossip, mind you) that government has granted the chiringuito license at Cala Llonga to Cala Bassa Beach Club from 2026 on, so God help us all ...

Maybe I'm too old school but Cala Llonga is a great beach for families and kids, lots of space to run about. We don't need another beach full of expensive minimum spend beach bars
 
I thought Defected and Glitterbox were 2 sides of the same coin these days? So i'd be more surprised if it doesn't also end up at Pacha - won't be sundays though!

IIRC they've kept the brands separate all along with Glitterbox at Space/Hi
and Defected going from Divino to Pacha with stops at eden,amnesia and ushuaia
probably a marketing move on their part

some people might pick nights based on venue and not want to go twice to Pacha for example meaning 1 loses out

Ah yes of course. Some backwards thinking from me there. Who knows where Glitterbox will end up then!
