ibiza gossip 2025

There does not seem to be a level playing field going on in banning live music/DJs playing in certain small locations. I wonder if "commercial interests" are pulling the levers.

If someone rich says they want to put a Balearic-Asian Fusion tapas bar on Benirras with minimum spend and salt sprinkled by Salt Bae himself I suspect the noise levels would be fine...

Feel like I've fallen out of love with the island it's all €€€'s now

I've been waiting a few days to write this; Honestly, this is a death knell for me. I've always resisted saying that Ibiza is dead, but this is really too much for me. I've lived in Ibiza for 10 years now, and this is the first time I'm starting to get scared that this is going to go to hell. Guys, I usually go to Benirras in the evenings to take photos (I'm a photographer), and the drumming ritual at sunset is the most spiritual event you'll see here. Tribal music and people dancing around it. That's how the music was born... The other day I couldn't believe what was happening. When we arrived in Benirras, after all the curves, just before the parking lot, there was a police control that I've rarely seen in Ibiza. It was really scary. I thought they were looking for a terrorist or something... Then they told me it was because of the drums... And the next day, reading the news, I was able to verify that from now on, drums are banned in benirras. I'm still in shock. The news mentioned that on the government's own website, they're advertising the drums-in-benirras experience as a tourist attraction. It's crazy. Summer 2025, the world's largest mega club UNVRS opens, and benirras drums are prohibited.

This is sad if true. I had no idea. We always go for the solstice if we are on Island in June. One of my top 3 beaches.

I spoke with one of the drummers on the 21st. The group actually started on the boating ramps earlier before migration to "the porch". She mentioned that it might have to do with pedalo rentals now on that end, in addition to the other side.

A quick clip from last week. I will share more when I have time to edit. Feel both fortunate and sad that I got to see both this and Sa Trinxa' on his last day. ☹️
