Anyone have any guesses how Bibi’s post might affect solid grooves? I assume that’s why the line ups haven’t been released yet

Gives them a big problem I guess. The line ups are very strong anyway, but without Bibi they lose a ‘USP’ and without Bibi do they potentially lose some bigger acts (greedy DJs, I doubt it)

Pawsa profile is quite strong, but nowhere near Bibi levels

He is the biggest draw, yes, but arranging changes in the timetable ist not that hard. Just give the biggest names on the lineup more time and it'll be ok. Could also be a huge opportunity for an up and coming name to smash it weekly and even be an almost "too good" substitute, as was Capriati when Carola had that ear infection : ) Pawsa maybe?

while I understand your stance on it, I don't think solid grooves has the same power right now compared to the pull music on had back then, considering the headliner is missing. I feel awfully sorry for bibi, while I don't get his music personally, he's really worked his way up and was riding the wave right now. personally I think without him, solid grooves won't have it easy

Yep, I think this is sadly the case.
While I prefer Dennis Cruz or even Pawsa, Bibi is the face of Solid Grooves.
In just 10 days there is a Solid Grooves festival in Amsterdam. I'm afraid a big percentage of the visitors will be dumping their tickets if they found out Bibi is not coming (huge chance) unless they arrange a big name replacement.

I would like to also add to that Solid Grooves or let's say Bibi became majorly hyped through social media over the past 3 years which is pretty obvious to all of us of course. People or should I say the late teens flock to Solid Grooves because 'apparently' that's the party to go to according to social media and so they just jump on the band wagon to seem cool. When you have been to a few Solid Grooves parties you can really see where all the little bloomers are going. And yes I think without Bibi the brand may struggle because a lot of these attendees are newbies and less experienced and so they are going because its 'Bibi'.

I mean musicon as an example you really wouldn't want to go unless Carola was there. Similarly with Grooves I almost feel Bibi is the brand.

I am with you Stivi I don't get his music personally I mean I haven't been overly keen on him the handful of times I have seen him. I am open minded but I just don't get or feel the hype when I see him play. I reckon if a lot of people were honest with them selves they know that too but the young audience he attracts just want to go where its to be seen. A bit like Ocean Beach Club I wouldn't say Solid Grooves is a million miles away.

With that said though I will actually be going to Solid Grooves opening DC10 :spank: No doubt will complain about it afterwards 🤦‍♂️

However I wish him well and the guy has done really well for himself and Solid Grooves as a brand is smashing it.
