I follow quite a few locals now and interviewed one activist the other week about some similar grievances. The compromise imo is spaces agreed a long time in advance to avoid tensions. Access should be open access/free to public land with % of proceeds from bar going to good cause. At least that's how I would do it

Not much different to locals moaning about fields in the UK being made out of bounds for a weekend for festivals. It was one day out of 365. People love a whinge. Not like there isn't several other options in the nearby area if that was their real issue (I suspect it wasn't)

I thought it wasn’t blocked off in the end? There’s photos / videos of people sunbathing on the beach looking surprised at what’s going on (including, apparently, a big Keinemusik fan!)
 
Quick question that somebody here may know the answer to... A friend had a table at Pacha a few weeks ago and the advance email said that they needed to wear long trousers, so not shorts.

My question is, does the same thing apply if you're getting DJ box access? I know one of the DJs playing well and obviously don't want to get refused access to the box because I'm in shorts!

anybody who went down to the beach earlier in the day before the security turned up was allowed to stay, so camping out paid-off in this case. There were even groups there with cool boxes full of drinks - well played, well played. But later on, once things were underway, a few people did try their luck along the rocks (and I think one group might have even tried to come from a boat) but security was all over it

Yeah fair was just going by the comments I saw from locals under the articles posted by McRackin

I am sure there will be some shots of a speed-boat, villas and the like as part of the VT.
