Saw nice cars on the parking area. If you at the right time at the right place in ibiza , you could earn a lot of money. Dont know if its possible for a foreigner and if its possible today.

Yeah hands down it is. That Resistance production in the world's biggest club to standard one at DC-10 is a major downgrade plus tbh we're not gonna get the same associated headliners as supporting acts (Nicole M, Hot since 82, Sasha/Digweed etc)
 
@stivi for the Ants closing on 1st October, any reason why the lineup currently consists of only Raul Rodriguez? Seems to be the only date where they've held back, but bit odd to announce just one DJ surely? Raul Rodriguez All Day Long

Yeah, they could rename it "I Love the 2010s". But hey, they do what they do very well and the place is a road-block every week. But looking down that list only Kink (Live) seems to be an interesting booking. Are we sure that isn't a typo / mistake?
 
I mean is it me, or were the Ants and Music On line-ups done by the same person? Andrea Olivia, Pete Tong, Hot Since 82, Joris Voorn, Nic Fanciulli = At MusicOn!

we obviously don't have the same priorities when it comes to parties. 'production' to me is way, way down on the list. I get that resistance at privi is bigger, but it just wasn't an option this year and that is why they went for a different format entirely.

20 ago also only has two artists on for now - I'm sure there will be more coming
 
Nobbie and his co-ideological travellers hate smaller clubs cos they come from a Vegas-inspired pastiche dance music scene where massive stages, LED displays and confetti cannons are all king. The idea of anything a bit more raw and closer to the roots of clubbing (that most 35+ grew up with) is completely alien, cos that would involve immersing yourself in the actual music and not the gimmicks, mouse ears, cakes and other related silliness that production is increasingly a euphemism for.

First off, you don't know me. Triggered are we now?

Secondly, Ibiza is known for the same Vegas gimmicks so it's reasonable for one to expect it. Nothing wrong with maximizing the same underground music with visuals, dancers etc.

i've always thought that the "gimmicky" events were more to make up for a lack of "star" names on their bill
nights like Cox etc don't need anything to go with it to bring in the punters

I think that's a bit harsh. Resistance production was none of the gimmicky things you've listed, so not really comparable. At 35+ you're not too old and vintage to say oh all these fancy lights and impressive sound system is stopping me focus on the music 😂
 
I don’t think Cox suits DC10, he oughta have done a deal with Eden. Bring something into San An, not that I’d be going to it.

It may work if he plays differently and they don’t overcrowd it; but then what do I know, I’m just a grumpy 50 year old Northern Monkey
