WOTG didn't work because it was too quirky and weird for pacha. it's not the artists you mentioned that were responsible for its failure, but much more because of the likes of four tet, matthew dear, mathew jonson and nathan fake. all of them are amazing artists in the electronic world, but were simply far too 'advanced' or underground (call it whatever you like) for the normal pacha crowd.

Truth be told you would know better than I would because from a WOTG standpoint I only experienced it once, and only Rumors twice over the 2 years at beachouse. In my experience the vibe at Rumors last year (I went in late August) was terrible, the crowd seemed off for a Guy Gerber party in my opinion. I was speaking more from a music policy from Guy Gerber's standpoint, I think he has varied his sets continuously and mixes in more/less techno and his standard tech house fare depending on the type of party and has done so regardless of the brand of party. I've seen Guy A LOT over the years and dont find that his weird quirky kind of vibe has changed but I guess Im speaking more from my experience of seeing Guy in the states than the actual 2 parties he has headed up in Ibiza.
 
ah you're surely right there, Guy as such hasn't changed a lot I don't think either. but with WOTG at pacha, it was all about weirdness (overload) while I thought that for rumors it was much more 'normal' and it was also reflected in a bit more 'standard' guests and not the ones I had mentioned above.

in the end it will be run by the same people another summer!

in related news and as revealed three years ago, nasssau bought cas costas in ctra san josé and this year is finally opening. instead of a posh lounge-bar-restaurant as originally planned it will be an eco-supermarket and grill-restaurant...
 
With Elrow now having the run of Space on Saturdays, possible that the unannounced Monday or Wednesday will be Kehakuma?
 
i went to WOTG once back in 2013 i think and the scene it self was completely different than anything i saw in ibiza or pacha.

the age group the number of people the way people dressed up.

it wasnt a party that you would go for, it was like a hang out.
 
^ that's got some good potential Except it's the same night as hyte. Might have to do both if there's a wristband situation developing.
 
Maybe NO Ibiza connection...... but fingers crossed......
