Ibiza-Girlie...

aww thanks for asking! AMAZING
GOD i LOVE that place, and Im always in such a miserable state when I get back! Having been brought up in London, just really is a trip down memory lane - to you a rather unfashionable expression lol* ;)

We arrived early at St. Christophers Place where our hotel was only to find out they had overbooked but I got sooo furious with the manager that he decided to give us the room some Austrians were waiting for. Poor fellas´they came back to their baggages in the hall and had to go to some other place. Thankfully we got there early to avoid the mishaps!

Well, I went NUTS in Topshop. Got wellover 200 pounds worth of skirts, belts, tops ect - and then off to Harvey Nicks to get Shu Uemura and Armani Makeup! A little Priscriptives managed to get its wan in there as well and Jakob my hubbie was furious with all my wild cash spending so we went sightseeing the rest of the day! Well...that was until we reached River Island and I had to but more stuff my husband refers to as useless crap I already have 50 of each lol*

We did a LONG walk from Chancery Lane all the way down the Parlament via Downing Str, Trafalger Sq and to the park where we crossed into Green park, made it to Buckingham Palace and up to Marble Arch. By the time we reached Oxford Str. and Selfridges I was delerious lol* and my feet had swollen 2 sizes lol*

We did a little clubbing as well. I managed to husle us into a nightclub, that had just opened - owned by China White, Umbasa. Never heard of it. But there were all these tarts with fake boobs there so we quickly left, than k god we didnt pay for it.

I had so many McD Apple pies over there because they were selling 2 of them for 99p, so I figure I ate maybe 10 of them in 4 days lol* we dont have them anymore over here, sadly!

Coffee at starbucks, the usual shenanigans down Oxford MANY times and well basically we enjoyed ourselves SO much! I want to go back!!!

How was your NY trip then???

Seems you had a blast!

Our trip was great too. I can skip two months of the gym after so much walking, did lots of shoppings, the helicopter tour, the Guggenheim and the Withney. Unfortunatly we missed Moma cos we weren't up to cue for two hours, but it's a good excuse to be back to the big apple ;)

I have been over to London 4 times and everytime i come back i really want to live there. It's a great place. It's very expensive though. For a shitty 2 bedroom apartment you could have an amazing house over here.

It's swings and roundabouts I spose. We live in a nice area of London and have got a lovely flat but I could cry when I go home and see my sister's house up north - massive 4 bedroomed, 3 bathroomed, big garden etc etc which cost less  But then on the other hand London has got so much to offer so it more than makes up for it in other aspects.

I do love London, I would die for living there for a while, altho I think I wouldn't survive first month of winter :?

I'd look after you and make sure you were in safe hands Sil 8O  ;) If you're feeling a bit cold on a Sunday morning going into The Royal Oak just fills you with warmth

You'd be wearing your hat, scarves and gloves in August wouldnt you Sil ;)

London is SOOOOO hard to get on the property ladder. Me and Jon would like to buy a place in a year or two, and you're looking at needed something like £25,000 deposit to put down on a one bedroomed flat 8O  which is near enough impossible for young people

Where are you looking to buy missy 8O A £25,000 deposit would get you a place for £500,000 and London property might be expensive but it's not THAT expensive ;)

Shhhh I'm trying to stir up a bit of sympathy goddamit :x

How much deposit would you need then for a property costing e.g £150,000 :?:

Becki,

Barcelona is the most expensive city in Spain, more than Madrid.
At the moment only people in their 40's or foreing people can live in the city center. And the problem it's not only buying a place, rents are extremly expensive, you should share a flat or live in a shitty hole.
So, I sympathise with you ;)

   Sorry but I didn't want to think you and Jon missing out on all these good wkends coming up cos you were trying to save £25,000  ;)

You need 5% of the property value so for something £150,000 it would be £7,500. Voila, problem solved, I've just saved you £17,5000 see you at Nastydirtysexmusic

In Copenhagen we are seeing prices boom at the moment. My 1 bed apt in nice expensive area in Copenhagen cost me 25.000 to buy and 4000 in down payment!! now its exploded to well over 100.000 pounds and the downpayment is 8000 so when my parent sell it, they´ll earn nice money taxfree.

We see prices escalate over here as well!
but I doubt we´ll have UK tendencies!
