ive just seen on the Diario de Ibiza Facebook page that all the clubs will close at 0630 next season but I can't translate the whole article on my phone.
Will this be the final nail in the coffin for a lot of clubbers?
Or is it all hot air as the clubs won't close that early?
If they do it'll lose a lot of very special moments on the terrace at amnesia

Indeed.

I don't think it'll put me off going per se. But if it means the clubs & promoters have a more limited window of opportunity to squeeze money out of you, then there is only one way this headed... €€€

Space closing/changing hands, earlier closing times, no more carl cox...

Time are indeed changing for 2016/17 season..

well it's not as if there haven't been any regulations so far, most clubs (also amnesia) had to stop music at six for the last years, IN THEORY. This now is just a unification of closing hours to make it fair for every club on the island.
that in itself won't change anything ImO. only if authorities enforce this time much stricter than in the last years with fines that make clubs adhere to them only THEN the situation will change.
so let's see how it all turns out but I have a suspicion that it's gonna be like last time when the socialists took over , so 2016 could be very bad for clubbing tourists :/

Mixing things up there... Most music bars don't have CC license and have to close earlier!

So will we be looking at Most bars being 3am (or is it 4am?), Cafe Conceiertos 5am, Clubs at 6.30am? To be fair, that's about standard for UK time. Just start earlier I guess

Amnesia will lose it's X Factor now IMO. Still an amazing venue but when the sun comes up it goes to another level.

Sunrise late May through to early July is 06:30ish. Assuming the clubs will still be allowed a grace period of an hour to clear the punters out, still might see some daylight. Maybe it would enhance the effect as you'd know it'd literally be the last few minutes!

Edit: bit shite in peak season, obviously. And of course weekly programme won't have kicked-in properly until July. Oh, forget it! :(

On the plus side, should see a growth in 'secret' after-parties.

Personally, I'm usually ready to move on by 6.30am anyway.

If the authorities are actually going to enforce this, comparing how the parties operated this summer & previous, it's obviously Music On which will be hit the hardest. Are (m)any other parties really gonna be hit that hard?! I can't think of any personally, but curious to know what other people think.

With that in mind surely now - more than ever - Ushuaia is going to look increasingly lucrative to Carola.
Music On definitely loses a lot of it's attraction for me. I'm not convinced Carola jumping on earlier would help rebalance.

That's what I was thinking. DC10, Sankeys, Pacha and Space all finished by then.

Wonder if they'll make 'special allowances' for the opening and closing parties?

I'm actually more annoyed about not being able to have a post-club drink, if the bars all have to close by 5am!
