Ibiza club, music info please :)

Hey there,

Am a newbie and hate that my first post is one asking for help - but if you can, would appreciate it :)

Have never been to Ibiza before and was wondering whether it's only dance music in all the clubs?

Maybe someone can let me know what clubs are good for what music If you know what I mean?

There are different nights at different clubs.

It's too broad based a question to give an answer to unless someone has got too much time on their hands to help you.:lol:

Keep your eye on the listings section of spotlight and see what nights are when and where as they are announced closer to the time.

You need to do your own research to make sure you going to places you enjoy.

Perhaps if you gave more info about the type of music you like, you'd get a better response.

Agreed. I am no expert but it helped me knowing what was on where and what I would most like.

The majority play dance music..

Pacha has some alternative styles, playing hip hop and RnB in their global room, the main rooms all play dance music

Ibiza Rocks (manumission) do live gigs playing.... rock/indie style music.

Guarana (I think it is called this) in Santa Eulalia play Jazz (although I could be wrong) :oops:

there was the bar in the West End that catered for Rock music - cannot remember the name

unsure as to if its still on the go

as said there are a few Urban music nights

Love Dough @ Es Paradis
Twice As Nice @ Eden
Jezebel (global room fridays) @ Pacha

Pacha saturdays and wednesdays in the global room are usually urban based as well
 
I'd be careful with the interpretation of "dance music" as I've found in recent years a lot of the young teenagers mean "hardhouse or Rave" when they talk about "dance music".............or am I just being too pedantic. :lol:

It's all very confusing, sometimes when I'm playing House music they come up and ask if I've got any "dance music?" :? What are they talking about, it's all dance music to me :p

Sorry it's taken ages to get back.

Although my original post was a bit broad - you've well, most of you have really helped (apart from the scarcastic comment from super pillock i mian polack ;) ) there was no need for that ey mate ;)

Anyway there's a preconception of Ibiza and it's stereotyped these days for it to be all about hard house music...rave style....so thought i'd put the question out and clarify with you lot!!!

Love all sorts of music like funky house, RnB, loving the whole indie scene right now and as much as I hate to admit it....a bit of cheesy poppy old stuff haha

Am a typical 23 year old gal and LOVE to be able to sing along and dance away to stuff when wayyyyy too merry! Hmmm and not merry at all so i've been told!!!!! ;)

Thanks for the advice and i'll deffo keep an eye out on the listings and more info closer to the time!!!

ooooh it's nearly here....so excited!!!

you'll find everything you've mentioned, music wise, in ibiza whether it be in bars, clubs, pubs, beaches, the back of someone's car or the fiesta in your apartment!;)
