ibiza 2019 observations

some of FGP's posts seem like broken records but then again maybe he does sometimes get misunderstood? Would it not be an idea to somehow integrate say English, Spanish, French and German all on to the same forum so that people can write in their own preferred language? or would that create too much work for moderators? facebook has an instant translation tool - is the software available for this on here?

re: overcrowding - Pikes was like an inferno for a large part of the night we were there but I didn't see one single instance of tension or aggression - quite the opposite. Hanging at the back rather than pushing to the front probably isn't such a bad idea... you can still hear the music in all its hi-fidelity glory...

I just feel the need to say this. While some people may fall over his posts because it's not perfectly English...
I met Joe twice shortly this trip and he's truly a nice guy. In the whatsappgroup he is always looking out for others and tries to help them get the most out of their trip as in guestlists, discounts, dancing space etc.
I hope he doesn't do a relax-ibiza next year, just keep partying Joe :) @FallenangelGparsons

Nothing to do with english level.
The funny thing; @FallenangelGparsons , jumps "du coq à l'âne".
I am sure he is a nice guy. He is the "Abbé Pierre of clubbing".

I'm sure there is an element of broken English and he's a nice guy.

But there is also an element of aggression regarding bumping in crowds. He obviously likes to be at the front of parties, you have to expect getting bumped into, you do not react aggressively, of course there's no excuse for obnoxious people but how you respond to getting bumped is just as important.

For example did fgp not have a post up a few days ago about spilling someone's full drink (accidentally) and just turning and shrugging his shoulders at the guy?

Maybe I'm different but if I spilled someone's drink even by complete accident I'd be straight to the bar to buy them another.

Did fgp not say he slapped (or almost slapped) someone recently in a post too for bumping into him or is my memory wrong.

What would happen if someone spilled his full drink accidentally??

A bit more chill needed

You didn’t attend the party if you’re not seen at the front on any pics or videos. C’mon man, common knowledge.

Well said!
I'm probably very wrong but from his posts he's giving me the impression that this is the main reason for him to attend all these parties.
Also, it works both ways, he might find quite frustrating the pushing, who doesn't? On the other hand I'm sure many find the massive hat right at the front being shoved in their faces just as annoying too.
I like to point out that I don't have anything against the guy, I never met him but like someone said before he's starting to sound like a broken record now.

Don't get the fuss about wanting to be at the front either, at most nights if you hang about middle to rear it quietens down a bit later and you can move forward anyway.

Went to an absolutely rammed Calvin Harris at Pacha last year, and it was so rammed before he came on that some people were leaving, but 30mins later and after people had spammed their Instagram's you could get so close you could just about shake his hand anyway, no need to rush.

just so there aren't any misunderstandings.

each to their own - I don't judge anyone for liking this or liking that, dancing at the front or staying at the back. but my view on why the person in question is always at the front is clear and I genuinely think it doesn't even need explaining.

as if you had less interaction with the audience or got less of the lights, visuals if you weren't at the front. come on.

come on what ?

There is a difference, I was at the front in the wild corner Friday and I watched Jason Bye tear the place up, he was mesmerising, he interacted with the crowd, the speakers were a metre away from us the atmosphere was awesome compared to when I came back and was at the back.

It’s the same when I have been to the PW it really does buzz at the front. I rarely do it but I find there is a difference.

I actually might have wrote it down a bit vague, I like interaction with the dj's. Seeing them play, making gestures, pumping up the crowd. Once I'm halfway in a crowd I'm not really seeing that anymore. For me, I move around...I'm not in one place all night..and when I find people around me who I can have fun with I'm probably staying there, no matter where it exactly is. I just don't assume everyone at the front does that for instagram, while I know a lot do. And yeah I make videos for my own collection of memories or for instagram sometimes. Rewatching them gives me great feelings. But I definitely don't do that the whole night like you see some people do....that's a waste of a night out imho.
