ibiza 2019 observations

only readers of forums like this and the british tabloids would be surprised by the presence of non clubbers. the age and gender demographic in ibiza is remarkably similar to all other spanish med resorts. only the nationality demographic differs in figures from the spanish national tourist authority.

Ahhh i wasn’t Surprised just stating a fact!

Edit just re read - this was about the plane over and not the bay (which i am surprised about)

Life goal for me and wor lass ?.

Take our two daughters to Ibiza one day, so they can realise how ridiculously cool we actually are ?✌

I blame my mam and dad for introducing me to the island. Have a pic of me somewhere stood outside es paradise very young. Can also remember going by Space in middle of the day and heard the tunes pumping. I said one day....

My observation is that the island seems busier compared to the same time last year. I was at Es vedra and there loads of people down at atlantis. There was also signs telling people the way to atlantis. Seeing so many people there kind of spoiled it.

Es vedra was same back end sep last year absolutely heaving

What an island, this place literally cleans my soul.

I'm not sure I'd bring my kids here on a family holiday though. There are other destinations that I'd take them that would be better for kids and probably cheaper.

I feel sorry for the families on the planes. For example my plane over was carnage with groups of people getting shit faced and openly taking coke in their seats. I'm all for partying but families with kids don't need to experience that.

Maybe it's just an Irish / British thing.

There are soooooo many nice family places in Ibiza! I wouldn't want to go anywhere else with my daughter...
She is welcome everywhere... in about every restaurant, beaches,...

And I never experienced someone taking coke in my plane... no fancy things in 20 years, but I take my flight from Belgium :)
Even flights to Ibiza from Belgium are family friendly :)

There are more tourist families on the island than what most of the clubber tourists would think...

Yeah I think its mostly a Irish/British thing. People just so drunk and shouting things like "the plane is going to crash" and "he's a terrorist" etc.
The police were waiting at ibiza Airport and took 3 woman away.
It was an evening flight and it was delayed 2hours so it did mean people were drinking more beforehand.

Flew from Valencia, MAD and BCN very family friendly.

Flew from London and East Midlands and no overly intoxicated (or coke) either. Maybe I should start hanging with you!

^ yep. I sure don't miss those flights !

I'm mean down at atlantis though, last year I only met a few people there. This year it was packed.

It's a crying shame but was always going to happen eventually. A bit like Punta Galera. Just have to go further afield now and I'm getting more and more tight lipped about the stunning places left.

Just a brief couple that have probably been mentioned

Flight out was at least and probably over 75% young families and elders.

Surprised at the number of older people around San An bay (and i don’t mean this in a bad way)

This morning we walked along the sea front from from the bay into San an and noticed they were out jet washing the promenade. Impressed by how clean both the sea front and the beaches are! We stopped for’ a drink’ at a bar on a beach about an hour and half ago and still haven’t moved?

We flew from Gatwick today and flight was probably 80% full - very little what I would say identifiable clubbers. Mix of wedding crowds, older and just mid 30-40+ nice ‘vacation’ crowd

Similar story for me, went to San An Bay as a kid approx year 2000 having just seen Kevin & Perry Go Large, and seeing all those club posters and the film sowed the 'must get here when im 18' seed
