That Jack Back experiment in the Club Room at Hi sure didn't last long, either. Cancelled (after what, 2 dates?) according to Stivi in the Confirmed Lineups section. I actually had my hopes up for this. There are some old clips of Guetta on actual vinyl turntables that are half decent imho.

When we were at Solumun +1 at Pacha last year, I actually saw David Guetta behind the DJ booth saying "hi" to Solly and his +1 (Konstantin Siebold). On the night I thought: "Wow, mdma reeeeaaalllyyy kicking in now" But then, after hearing about the Jack Back thing, I thought he was actually doing some reasearch. Don't know what's more likely, tbh ?

Seems he's not trending towards the underground after all judging by this video. Surprisingly...

obviously for some it is, in my opinion a terrible song and it gets on my nerves, it’s the ones that go to see them clowns and buy that song we have to feel sorry for.

This isn't even good cheesy reggaeton! But I agree the video is nicely put together.

Really annoying seeing this being performed in front of Es Vedra still!! It does ruin the magic. Stivi wasn't lying about this reggaeton invasion this year
 
God! Marco Carola really bad nowadays, playing even more tech house, when I used to go music on it was at least groovy techno

Been away and not keeping my eye on the forum but back getting all the info for September....

Has anyone yet asked my favourite yearly question of "How strong is the gak this year?"

Closely followed by fever pitch discussions about no c*** getting access to the beach at Mambo...

Apologies well in advance if these discussions have already taken place but can't be arsed trawling hundreds of pages to find out.

Dear me just had a wee look. See Vath is back not that it bothers me but in all fairness the Kraftwerk do looks spot on!

Note also that Harvey is playing at Ushuai when I am there. Hopefully a small gig and not the full stage? The folk in the hotel will be disorientated when their normal afternoon of air raid siren "tunes" is interrupted by something decent....
 
ADID was really cool yesterday.
I had the chance to chat with YokoO and Lee Burridge, there is a lot of djs who should take humility lessons with these guys.
Specifically about Lee, a veteran of the industry, this guy is smiling and interacting all the time with his crowd with a lot of kindness and sincerity.
His set was awesome.
The crowd was OK, not the best I experienced.
Sure it will be different for the September gig...
For YokoO followers, he will not play at the next ADID in August, just for the September date. And no gig at Woomoon for him this year.
