Ibiza 2011

I was there September 2nd to 16th in Santa Eulalia. The big storm with all the lighting was during the second week on either the 13th or 14th as I remember going to Amnesia and it was pouring down with rain

Was definately the 13th as i spent the night of the 14th Sept roughing it at Ibiza ferry Port waiting for the ferry departure to Barcelona the following morning. Mind you it piffed it down all night that evening aswell but i found shelter by sleeping under a parked lorry trailer. Hopefully if i return this year September then the weather won't be so bad or if the the family come along it'll be May/June time with normally good weather and also a proper roof over our heads.

I really think it depends on where you're traveling from and where you want to stay.

If you're heading out from a popular hub and using low-cost carriers, earlier is better.

If your preferred hotel is small and/or very popular, earlier is better.

If you're like me and there's little difference in airfares for booking a year in advance or a month in advance, and your preferred hotel is a big one that has always had a room available... well, I usually wait until mid-spring for June or early summer for September.

We will be flying from Manchester and probably on a budget airline but we could also fly from liverpool!

Gonna stay in play d'en bossa this year, Fed up of staying in san an, stayed there 3 times now!

Any good reccomendations for a hotel? ive always thought if we left it last minute we would get a much better deal but too scared to take the risk lol!

Any good reccomendations for a hotel?

No offence aimed at Bones:

But this question must be the most irritating one asked on Ibiza Spotlight forum? I would've thought that most if not all the good/decent hotels on Ibiza have been covered previously on other Spotlight threads. If Spotlight members searched for such threads instead of asking outright then i'm sure they will find the right hotel/appartement/villa for their needs?

reccomendations of a hotel or atps.might be ok for some but not for you.take that into account.then there is this thing called "i need a cheap place to stay".you pay for what you get these days.ok you can stay in a cheap place basic.but pay a little extra and you can enjoy your hols with out the worry of things going missing..

cheapest place i could find if you fancy it.plus they do carhire only two cars.but they need a bit of tlc.sea is 20mts away

Tres Carabelas your right my new home.picture taken from another room.not my room.yes as you walk from main road down towards sea to get boats.its on the right just before the chained barrier. or just turn left and its at the back of the late opening bar albatros.thought it would be a laugh to post.

You've got a range of prices just like everywhere else.
Some of the cheaper hotels are in Figueretas, just down the road from PdB.

any gsp owned or rented hotel .apts are cheap to stay in.but depends when you go.as there tend to move people to other hotels if not full in late september.

Garbi is nice after refit two years ago.but they have put there prices up a lot.which is fair when you see what they have done to it.

for cheap places any gsp hotel or atps.but i see spotlight do not list anynow.don;t blame them.

Because ive never stayed in PDB before i havent got a clue which hotels to even look at proximity to everything wise

Dont want a family hotel full of families although because im going in september i doubt there will be much anyway?

ok then its the Garbi/algarb/ that will not have familys in to choose from really or the Tres Carabelas.plenty of s/c places to try as well.like jet.but shop around and get back to us on what places you might fancy.

Half board/Bed & Breakfast does look tempting!

How far are them hotels from everything? We planning on going the 9th september so just before the closing parts start so surely wont be too busy?

Garbi/algarb/ hotels are right in the heart of pdb.depends which closing party you go for.if its space (we love).then it gets packed in resort.leading up to that weekend.then day after it thins out a bit.space and beach bars closing partys are later in sept and into first week of oct.past few years they have anyway just depends when the weekends fall
