Ibiza 2006 Reviews?

Now for the real treat: Circo Loco at DC10. Wow. I've been before but that was the first time I've properly done it and stayed to the end. Dear lord, I was in heaven. Probably never been so 'merry' and despite being over-packed, it didn't matter as the music was so good. Luciano in particular was stunning. P Diddy was there in the booth for most of the afternoon, passing around tequilla and grapes to the crowd. Thought Tennaglia might play as he was in the booth after his WLS set but just stood around, grinning like a loony whilst wearing a daft bee cap. I wish I'd had my camera on me!

P-Diddy started handing out grapes to one of my mates at DC10, got a text from her right after he did it:lol:

So this is still going on?

I defended the practice in another thread because I thought it was immediately post-World Cup. There's no excuse for it now - for christ's sake it's been a month already. Time to get over it!!

Good god. Please tell me you have pics of Diddy & Tenaglia at DC10. Me and my friends need a good laugh
I wish I did, but our camera battery had run out by then and my OH had forgotten to bring the recharger. Probably for the best considering the state we were in!

No doubt some will turn up on Dontstayin soon.

A friend who works on Ibiza every summer informed me that they have been doing it since 2003 (the song was released that summer). It never ends......unfortunately :?

I've never noticed it before, and certainly not with the same intensity as this year. Honestly, someone started doing it virtually evert few minutes.

Im pretty sure this year was the first year that it has been getting chanted..

Proper kind of review now...

Tuesday - no sleep monday night as excited/bit worried but got the the airport on time and everything and checked in with no problem.

We got on the minibus that takes you to the plane but had to get taken back to the airport as someone was late and they wouldnt let us on the plane till we got there. The minibus driver had REM Everybody Hurts on. Not the best choice of tune to get you in the mood for your holiday, but at least it wasnt playing on the comeback coach on the way back home (would probably have everyone reaching for the razor blades!)

Luckily a mate of mine was on the same flight so the flight over was cool and not as boring like I thought it would be. Watched that Loose Change on the flight over which probably wasnt the best film to watch on a plane like - got some dodgy looks from some of the cabin crew

Landed and we both one of the first people to get our suitcases so mooched over the the taxi rank and got a cab. Even when I was in the cab it felt good to be back on the island :D

Finally found my mates apartment, had a bit of a catch up then left my suitcase there when I went to find somewhere to stay.
Looked in LOADS of hotels/hostals for about 4 hours in the peak day heat which done me right in.. Ended up popping into a hotel around the corner from my mates where I started and ended up getting a room there.. paid twice as much as I was expecting but just glad I got something sorted. Dont know why the hostals were so busy this year???

Headed off to Carl Cox @ Space. The last night I had in Ibiza was the Garnier v Cox one 2 years ago so was a bit eager to get back. Got in for 1ish and FK was already smashing the arse out it :twisted: Awesome!
After Francois we spent most of the night on the terrace listening to Evil 9 and Adam Freeland who im usually not that fussed about but they played great :)

One of the best nights Ive had at Space.. think it was probably because we were in a group but it seriously rocked :p:p:p8)8)

Ended up going to someones apartment in the jet before hearing that space was reopening in an hour so we all thought **** it we'll go again
so we just drank till space reopened and headed back in, watched barbara tucker for a few hours then went to figuertas till about 8pm and then headed back to our resort as I thought I would be taking the knock sometime soon..:lol:

Wednesday - spent the day just chilling and catching up with people, thought about going to Timo Mass's opening party but decided that had enough on the thursday to keep us going so got gassed in the bars 8O

Thursday - This day/night was supposed to be one of the biggest I had planned but we ended up doing nothing.. Got a text early on to remind us to be somewhere to get picked up to get taken to the Circus/Los Piratas boat party.. We were all late though and was running through Ibiza town trying to get a cab! When we finally got there we ended up being ok for time so chilled on the boat for a bit... in the end the boat party didnt happen :( which was a shame as it would have been immense! So a couple of us went down to Tallamanca to chill.
We ended up staying there for quite a bit and missed the 1am deadline for Cream so missed that.. Then we left it too late to do anything for Renaissance so missed that and I thought I would leave Monza till I returned in september so we just got wasted again somewhere local but I can't remember where exactly

Friday was funny - went to bar m - the stage/dj booth is well better where it is now.. watched some **** rendition of james bond happen.. did anyone else see this?

Headed to Manumission at about 2 after getting pished around the bar m strip.. Straight to the music box where Yousef hammered it out 8)
Didnt really goto the main room in manumission that much, spent the rest of the night / saturday morning in the coco loco room.. which apart from a bit of trouble with security and some bloke was well funny.

Sat - Had something to eat down at Nandos (when did that get there) and headed to Pacha to see Garnier. Got to Pacha for 2 and Garnier wasnt on till 5 so we mooched around the club about 10times to see as less of Morales as we could. Suprised to see Garnier playing for Def Mix but I wasnt complaining as got to see Laurent on my bday :p. He was awesome, the crowd was a bit lame. The portions of absolute vodka were tremendous.

Sunday - went to Bora bora for a bit early on.. apparently they had the pre party for milk and two sugars there later on .. anyone know who turned up to do it as the line up for them that night was ace!
Headed to space about 6-7.. had my camera took off me  space was rammed. wasnt really feeling it at all to start with. But bumped into someone I used to go out with all the time when I started clubbing so we had a little chat.
Tenaglia at space was ****ing awesome. by far the best set ive heard from him. he twatted it out  James Zabiela was playing hard as well :p Missed Tiefschwarz though:( We spent a bit deciding whether to go pop over to catch Chuck Love who Hayley was dying to check out but I was loving the terrace too much to leave.
Spent far too much money on vodka in space on the sunday!

Monday - Went to DC10 - Luciano was the shiznit. DC10 ****ing rocked. Better than the opening year I reckon! Left DC10 and thought about going to cocoon but thought the crowd would be a bit **** and wanted to see McRackin and have another session with my mates before I left and wanted to get a bit of sleep before the flight.

Ended up having a couple with McRazzle.. Meeting my mates who finished work.. then ended up getting bollocksed till an hour before my flight. oh dear.

Dates please Nishy baby, me and Tom get there on the 13th so if we don't overlap by a few days then I'll be very cross  ;)

Rej was played a bit but to me it reminds me of last summer, it was THE secretsundaze record of last summer and then it seems every DJ and his dog are playing it now, quality record tho.

I love it. There was enough dark twisted music on the island for my ****ed up head when I went

Dont think we will clash hon :( I think the last night Ill have (if I go on them dates) will be the Carl Cox closing party. Have you booked already? x
