deletion is rife here at the moment...

post counts (when we had them) ranged from 1-20,000 so just a few more than 20!
 
The most annoying thing is that theres no longer a button to click to see all of someones posts......if you know someone posted something you wanted to read again or getr information from its a lot harder to find it now....
 
Ya, I think that was Barbie. (who had 20000)

I was so psyched to have made Guru before they killed the rankings. I was looking forward to that day that little old me could finally achieve the rank of Senior Guru. But alas, the stars are gone. And we are all mere mortals.

It's amazing how quick you go from being a mere Newbie to a Senior Guru though. I'm sure there's only about 100 posts between the two. Thats so eaaasssyyy! It made me feel quite cheap :oops:

You shouldn't feel cheap... you should feel special! I hate this double standard, that women who quickly become Senior Gurus are made to feel cheap, while men are allowed to think they're studmuffins. Maybe it IS good that they've eliminated the rankings after all.... :lol:

new member sign ups are remarkably stable. i haven't noticed much difference since removing post counts.

i too like to think that more new members are sticking now that there is less of a guru / newbie divide :-)
 
I'm not really too bothered about stars, regulars know who the regulars are anyway.
It didnt need the post count there are people who come on and post for the sake of posting even if they have nothing to contribute to the thread/ dont know anything about whats being spoken about/ 'like the sound of there own voice' even though it doesnt up the post count- lol x
 
Do you get a lot of time wasters on the site? Do people come and go very quickly? I'm new and I've found everybody really helpful so far, although I am quite daunted coz I feel like an imposter amongst the regulars! :(

Dont feel like an outsider! People love sharing their knowledge and a bit of banter with genuine posters like yourself :D
I just feel like sometimes there are time wasters and they detract from others' enjoyment of the board.
