This is where I'll be spending my New Years Eve :D :D :D

Full Moon Party is on 3rd Jan so will definately be going to that too :twisted:

full moon parties are FANTASTIC 8) 8) 8) 8) - make sure you go to back yard which opens at 11am when the party finishes. I lost a whole day in there (literally - my friends found me at 7pm the next day on the floor with no shoes and no t-shirt still dancing - I have no recollection from midday until 2 days later when I woke up in the beach hut :? :? :? but I do remember a bunch of thai guys chanting at and pointing at me 'back yard, back yard' at the port as we were going home 8O 8O 8O 8O

It's a beautiful island, we stayed in a beach hut on Hat Yao cove (I think) for about £1 a night - 10m from the beach. it was amazing 8) 8) 8)

I miss thailand - you are a very very lucky girl!

yeah I have heard about several places carrying ontil next day etc, yet on the other hand have been told to "touch nothing" etc which makes me question how i'll be out till 11am:?

obviously I'll have my wits about myself.

also, is it true the buckets of drinks have substances in them?
 
Thankyou everyone :) I'm sooooo excited! Everything is slowly starting to come together now. Got my Indian visa this morning, only the Thai one to get now.

We've booked a Bungalow on Ban Tai beach for 10days for when we're on Koh Phangan. It was about £25 a night which is quite dear, but obviously it's NYE, then the Full Moon party, then it's my birthday on 5th Jan so we wanted something a bit nicer. This will be like our holiday time, the rest of our travels I expect to stay in flea ridden hostels 8O :lol:

I'm not taking any psychedelics at the FM party... I know perhaps thats the spirit of it all and everything but I like to know where and who I am at all times! :lol: I'll just get very drunk instead :twisted:

...and as Nick said - Back Yard = :p (reeeeally good) - Not keen on the full moon party itself tho. It's quite rubbish tbh but the morning bit is lovely and you're hardcore enough to last the distance if I know you. ;)

Samui beach parties are amazing.

Have you booked accommodation yet?

DON'T STAY IN HAAD RIN - it's vile.

HAAD THIEN - Much better and perfect if you want to party.

Just being a lady of leisure Monday and Tuesday. As I'm up in Leeds this weekend for my friend's wedding, I thought it would be nice to start my holiday today - then I'm not back in work til October. :p

I carried on through on the superstrength red bull buckets until 11/12 without a problem - the red bull is lethal. Pretty sure they're not spiked as you get a bucket with a couple of bottles of red bull and a bottle of vodka for about £4. 11am came FAR too quickly.

I took something at midday the next day and that's where my memory fails me - have a feeling it was yaba and was thus an incredibly bad idea.

Isn't Haad Thien on Koh Tao? The neighboring island? :?

Ban Tai looks like a nice beach, plus its only 20mins from Haad Rin where the full moon parties are.
