has nothing to do with that i just wanna look good, but I dont want to hide what ALL DECENT women think about their own weddingday either: that they wanna look their absolute best.
IM JUST DEADLY honest.

99 out of 100 christians in denmark get married in churches every single dsaturday without thinking much about wheither they do possess any faith or actually believe in god.

But when they are confronted with other religions, say f.i Islam, most of us definately know what we prefer without saying there´s somwthing wrong with islam or whatever, but just to specify that we still have our roots somewhere.


if i was to get married today id do it on the beach on some tropical island, or in Vegas. definately. with or without god. And maybe he´ll even be present there? who says you need a church to praktise your belief and vise versa! who says you need god in order tom arry in a church.

I dont wanna judge and i bet there are a lot of other peeps who dont have religion up close in their life, but still go to church, get christianed and married in a church.

an island or beach somewhere with friends just really must be the most romatic thing in the world. If I could do it all over again, that would definately be in my thoughts also. sadly money sets its limits! ;)

yeah money is an issue.
dunno where exactly cos a beach would b weird i reckon but somewhere nice maybe overlookin the beach at sunset or summit like tht.

My buddies got married in a garden overlooking lake annecy in the french alps - it was a beautiful, sunny day and it was pretty much as perfect as it could be :)

Regarding getting married in a church - there is definitely a degree of western tradition in getting hitched in a church, just like going to the christmas service with your mum on xmas morning.

My grandfather's funeral was in a church, but he wasn't a christian (though the rest of my family are) - I think the church represents things beyond religious beliefs and extends to your participation in a local community, and on a larger scale, a western society that's encompassed by family values and traditions based upon that theological foundation.

I wouldn't consider myself an active christian anymore, but I'd like to get married in my church in my hometown. As IG said it's where I grew up, where I was confirmed, where my best mate got married. It would also make my mum happy. I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

Anyways, that's if I was going to get married, which I most certainly am not :P
