I am bored and restless today...

I keep picking up things to start on then lose interest in about 10 mins,
I have done Christmas table plans, name places, menus and prettied them up with christmassy pictures etc but that's as far as my little brain can go today...

Anyone else feeling that way or is it just me,I fear I am beyond help today.....

I am counting the days down to 21st when we finish for Christmas and I just cant be fagged to do anything today....
 
Totally feeling like that. I even did more xmas shopping online over lunch to try and kill a bit of time, i had no need to buy more as i finished my shopping about 3 weeks ago lol

Need a holiday :cry:

You could always try a stunt like the girl on the Maltesers advert where she gives the office junior a wee thrill :lol::lol: It would surely liven up the office for the afternoon?

Nice thought but I have my own office and I would only be thrilling myself by flashing my nips to myself........:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Already exhausted the christmas shopping bit - although I am now ordering 125 Wild Animal face masks/125 clown pate's with hair , 350 red noses, 350 spinning bow ties, squirty flowers for our Christmas Party next week....

Im feeling the same. Work is quietening down before xmas, nobody is coming in so no appointments to see to, hardly any CVs to type. Very boring sitting on reception on my own.

Cant even use Facebook to whirl away sometime as we have all been warned only to use it at lunchtimes :spank:

I also can't wait until the 21st.....bored to the back teeth with work I'm doing and the company I work for.....!

Its going to get worse before it gets better as I've done most of my month end work already.......luckily I have a job interview later to hopefully get me moving out of here, but we'll see.....it certainly beats sitting here getting bored even if I don't get the job!
 
Yeah - its the first year I am not organising it so I intend to be debaucherous and have a great night - specially as I have the following day booked off!! :)

Its circus themed this year, so we have fire eaters, some form of neon light jugglers (hope I dont start raving!! by mistake) trapezey type acts, stilt walkers, and the usual crap disco and house band.....

only 1 hour and 15 mins to go til home time...
 
What can we talk about on here - I can probably get away with working on here its just pesky Facebook we are not allowed to use.
 
ooh I dunno - typical - I get to have a chat and now I cant think of anything to say.....

Oh can I have a moan - one of the girls I work with is such a drama F........g Queen - she's had cold for a week - but its now touch and go for her -:rolleyes: she is pathetic and EVERY time she picks up the phone there is this pathetic little "cough" then says in a squeaky voice "please bear with me -I am struggling today I have such a bad throat but I have so much to do I cant possibly take time off"...... Ggrrrrrrrrrr :lol::lol::lol:
 
I work with someone who hardly answers the phone, it should be shared equally between us but it seems only me and 1 other girl answer it. Then she sits there and says her job is easy, the other day she said she had nothing to do (erm hello answer the phone?), and then proceeded to write everyones birthdays in her new work diary. While the phone was ringing.
 
well this one started in Aug I interviewed her and she had an amazing interview, great CV and the job she was applying for in my book was a bit below the level she was used to working at, (PA and Project Manager) I pointed this out to her at the interview and asked would she not find the role less than fulfilling compared to her previous role - Oh no, I am looking to take on a little less responsbility and to concentrate more on the PA role rather than project managing - all good I thought...

How wrong was I.... she is finding work too difficult , she cant prioritise (why you worrying over something for Jan when you havent dont next week's stuff :spank:) She got her Fixed contract on the Monday and went on the sick with cold on the Thursday - I feel she may not be up to the job, I have sat down with her talked about prioritising and how she has to shout "help" if she feels overwhelmed with work (we are not even that busy to be honest) hence the reason I am ordering face masks and squirty bloody flowers cos she is too busy at the moment....

Oh god one of those people.

It frustrates me because it took me about a year to get a decent job in the City even some of them I could do - without blowing my own trumpet - yet there are people like that who get jobs pronto yet just take the michael.

Well I am giving her the benefit of the doubt at the moment and trying to get her to plan her working day by checking what's coming in first and learning to prioritise - i think that's her problem - she's used to delegating work and not prioritising it for herself - the other girl I interviewed who I had slight concerns about but thought she could do the job has turned out to be bloody amazing - I have never met someone of her age with the work ethic she has - i have to keep getting her to tone it down a bit in the office cos she's louder than me, but jesus can she work - if only I could clone her...

PS we are recruiting again down in London if you fancy being a Secretary ??

Hello :lol:

I am properly bored and restless today too - my day has consisted of ordering lots of half price Pout make-up (the website is closing down at end of this month so everything is half price if anyone is interested) and ordering some funky new teatowels and oven mitt (the domestic goddess in me coming out :oops::lol:)

12 more working days to Christmas and 22 days til I'm on a plane :twisted:
