How would a person get from London to

Wanstead on a Friday night? Is it a tube or train, and would anyone know how long the journey would take?

Got a party to go to in July and just want to know if its better to book a hotel in Wanstead or just use a company flat in London and go back there afterwards...

Yes.....(even though I feel a bit bad about no one answering the thread question yet...:? )....

I think we might be girly threaded out - maybe we should start a manly thread that women can contribute to. I need to think of something though that I have issues with at the moment :? :lol:

shall we just make up directions for me and Phil to get to Wanstead then as we are so bored today? We could make a night of it and have some sort of twisted magical mystery tour instead of getting to the party...:lol: :lol: :lol:

:oops: I don't even know where wanstead is so unfortunately I couldn't even direct you in the wrong direction :lol:

Pupplylover it depends what time your party finishes.. You could either get a taxi or probably best to stay in Wanstead.

Party finishes at 1.00am (well at least the venue will) so that's a bit :? and not ideal for a Friday night of minxiness and dancing, so was thinking might be an idea to head off back to London for a club.....

Hopefully, there will be a messy after hours type thing after and I wont have any probs but its always best to err on the side of caution in my book....:lol:
 
I vote taxi. :lol:

It's easier all round, and someone's bound to know a cheap taxi company (london surprisingly does have a few)

Wanstead is out near Leyton somewhere, on the Central Line. The Journey planner on www.tfl.gov.uk will give you estimated times for journeys.

If you want an afterhours club, I nearly went to this recently http://www.redlightclub.co.uk/ (but got waylaid at Cookie's flat and ended up unable to move). Doesn't start til 3am though.

I'd ring Addison Lee for a quote on a minicab: 020 7387 8888. I don't think they're dirt cheap but I've always found them reliable.

Thanks Holly - that's brilliant

I have Addison Lee in my phone that's who I would tend to use if I was working in London - not the cheapest, but certainly better than getting stung for a fortune and have to suffer the journey home in a potentially dodgy car with someone who doesnt know the area and I have to direct (being a non london person this is verging on the ridiculous!!)
